Always an excuse.

No matter how terrible we play, it's never the teams fault. Have we ever lost a game legitimately?

This isn't about the loss we all know thy lost because of how **** the whole team played. This is about the ref calling two bA calls in the final 3 minutes. Rondo got pissed got t'd up twice and ejected. It was stupid of rondo to lose his cool. But yes this loss could in fact be blamed on the refs.

I'm hoping he was jus ejected for the two t's and not for the bump preventing a possible suspension

It wasn't the correct call. A player getting dinked in the face after having a legitimate football DOG pile isn't the right call. That's a play-on. You can't allow a fumble pile and then blow the whistle when someone gets bumped in the face. He let the play go on a lot longer than it should have. He had at least 3 seconds to call the jump ball and he just stood there and waited and made a horrible decision. I understand why Rondo did what he did.

Twolves fan here... They're talking about Rondo being suspended... I think thats too much. He bumped the guy (didnt even look intentional) and got tossed. I feel like thats enough.

Joey Crawford is the guy who gets us. But we havent had to worry about a big game in about 8 years. haha

Anyway, good luck! I like the C's because of Garnett. Hope you guys at least make it to the ECF

Bad calls happen. Getting ejected from a still winnable playoff game and bumping a ref which is an automatic suspension if the league correctly deems it to be intentional? That's just stupid and inexcusable. Make a thread titled "Rajon Rondo #9" and talk about how dumb he is, that would be more appropriate.

Marc Davis was also that guy who single-handedly tried to win the game for the Hawks in that OT game at home. He hates the celtics and these WEAK-ASS calls cost the celtics big-time. Not saying they would have won with Davis calling the game fairly, but he CLEARLY hates the C's.

lol i had forgotten that it was marc davis who was also making all those BS calls in the OT game against ATL.

does the nba publish stats of which ref actually calls the foul in games?

i wonder how many fouls davis has called against us vs against atl, in the OT game and game 1. particularly in the 4thQ/OT.

His wife says it is a lifelong dream of Marc's to be an NBA official but what does he love about it so much? Maybe being a nothing and having this momentary power over these big stars. If you google Marc Davis you'll find he's been in the middle of controversy with Allen Iverson and also in other playoff games. I would love it if someone with know how would start a website to highlight and aggregate bad calls with the intent of putting pressure on the league to get rid of bad apples like Marc Davis.

All you need is a website with video of every call, then allow users to register and vote on the correct calls. You could show have other stats that show how certain refs treat certain teams/players etc.

The problem is I'm not sure if the videos would be justified under "fair use" or would constitute copyright infringement.

I know it sucks Rondo lost control - and bumped the guy. But he wins points in my book for being fired up like that. Its that kind of fight that we need out of him. I hope he brings the triple double whoop ass on the Hawks in game three..

From Red's Army.

Damning evidence that Davis is either corrupt or hates the Celtics. Quiet Dude had it right in his earlier post. I had no idea that he was center stage in every one of those calls in the Hawks OT game. The Pierce push off late in the game looks like it was called by the other dude and I actually saw the ref's POV there in terms of calling it a foul.

This was not Rondo flipping out at this guy in the heat of the moment...it had been bubbling for a while. Sucks.

Yup, my question is why we didn't get video replay on that. It was clearly a play that helped decide the outcome of the game. Are the refs only allowed to go if it's under 2 minutes?

I was screaming at the tv, "go to the replay, go to the replay". Absolutely nothing.
