Does the guy have any credibility? Sorry I'm not familiar with all the Twitter guys yet.

Not sure if credible, but he's the Producer/Board-Op for SportsHub.

I hate these cryptic tweets and I wish the guy would just say the alleged person Ainge is targeting.

Perfect. He already has the leprechaun spinning the Larry O'Brien trophy tattooed on his arm.

I don't trust anyone working for 98.5.

I've got to say he's been pretty on the mark this summer so far. Called Brown at 3 (not wildly difficult on it's own), the Horford signing being completed a day or two early (also not crazy), but also had BOS/GS as the finalists for Durant with GS as the favorite. So nothing on it's own is too compelling but it's a nice overall picture considering he produces at the Celtics' home radio station. Of course that they are having trade talks for a star doesn't really mean anything on it's own, they've been trying to trade for a star for 2+ years lol.

Mood's shifted enough I can't imagine a star right now I'd be "happy with" :D

If we're dealing Zeller on a Bogans/Humphries deal- 3 years, 45 million, only 1st year guaranteed- with 2 non-BKN 1sts for Middleton, I guess I could make peace with that.

Oh, also think Doc is dumb enough to trade DJ for Amir and Jaylen. "The league is going small, we needed a slasher."

I thought so too. As it turns out, all he really said was that KD loved the Cs presentation, and it was down to GSW and the Celtics. Later on, he went to say that GSW was the more likely to land him.

Now, with that being said - the fact that he's replying to everyone asking him who the player is makes me think that he's enjoying the attention a bit too much.

Nice to know that Ainge is still active in trade talks. I just hope that if Danny is trading the BKN 2017 pick, a legit STUD/star comes back in return.

So like do Boston fans also think this guy has the most lopsided view of deals or is it just me?

If anything of it is true, the only star player i see available is Westbrook. Although, there's weird silence on Cavs front, Lebron still hasn't signed a deal and Cavs have yet to resolve severeal things regarding their roster. So i'm not countig out Love trade yet. Ainge is in love with him. I'd hate a trade for Love but there's nothing i could do about it.

Back to real news:

Sullinger's Qualifying Offer was rescinded yesterday and he was renounced. This basically means the Celtics no longer have FA rights on him, can't match offers and they can't really sign him for much for Sing & Trade purposes.

I'd say it looks like Sully is gone from this news.

Lol. We didn't even want him for his QO? ouch.

Could also have been done as a favor to him, smoothing his negotiations with his next team.
Indeed, that was my first guess when I saw the news.

I shall now check the thread(s) and so on to see which theory, if any, is prevailing. :)

There was a cap issue as well, Boston had to renounce either Sully or Zeller to sign Horford so this actually happened a couple of days ago, Boston was probably trying to find out if someone might be interested in a S&T or if just renouncing would help him out more.

Whatever this Leshatz dude is talking about, there certainly hasn't been any news floating around the usual channels. Considering the proximity of people in Vegas, silence coupled with the certainty Ainge showed would seem to be a positive sign.

Often, things come together quickly in LV. And sometimes the best deals are not leaked at all, completed close to the vest with two parties who aren't playing shadow games; just brass tax business.

I am absolutely terrified that we are giving up valuable assets for Russell Westbrook. I just can't see Presti holding on to him if he doesn't sign an extension. Remember, OKC was one of the teams that voted against lottery reform, which means he is very much in favor of tanking. Given that the 2017 NBA Draft looks like it might have a 2 or 3 franchise players, I can see Presti dealing everyone of value for picks and expirings.

The Ray Allen trade came out of nowhere. Same thing with the Perk/Jeff Green deal. If we give up that 2017 Nets pick for Westbrook, I'm going to be worried the whole season. Let's just hope that Ainge gets Presti to somehow throw in Steven Adams in a deal, just in case Westbrook walks.

If BOTH > than any current Celtics AND likely available, then I would agree Westbrook would seem like player X - although, depending on how highly one rates Butler, he could still be a possibility. You could be right about Love but he seems like a much less likely target now that we have Horford. Cousins would fit the equation but Kings are such a mess I doubt they could pull the trigger on a deal even if they wanted to.
