Wow. Dude made $50M playing hoops.

Eff it though, sign him to a ten day.
Edit: ah apparently it's a rest of season deal.

that'd have to be an historically enormous favor to whoever his agent is if he were to actually get this.

I get the value of insurance, and kudos to everyone who lives with autism, including publicly, but Snell is putting up 4/2/1 in 13mpg for Maine, shooting an ice cold 32/28/100 https://stats.gleague.nba.com/player/203503/ I guess this PR play helps me understand why he 'walked on' to the Maine Celtics last year, just trying to get on the radar.

Regardless of all of this, always liked him as a player back in the day.

I’d sign Snell, good PR matters.

I only consider it if there's a financial benefit to bringing him in and cutting Svi, which I think unlikely, but going to leave to others or no one to analyze

They tried to give Snell a boost tonight. He scored the 1st 9 points in what would eventually be a blowout tonight. In other notes. JD, Walsh, and Drew Peterson look REALLY promising. JD's size could eventually be a thing but he's got nothing left to prove down in the G. He's studding out there every night. Controls the game well. Walsh's jumper has been coming along nicely. Athleticism is obvious. Just needs to get a little stronger for next year. The big surprise has been Peterson. Passing has been as advertised. He made a couple of next level reads in this video. Mental processing is through the roof for this kid. Likens his game to a Derrick White, a glue guy and it makes sense. Would love to see what a good offseason does for him when he comes into camp next year.

This announcer is annoying.
Asking too many quasi-personal questions of the guest.

Lighting is terrible for this game.

38 points (16/29 shooting) and 8 assists for JD Davison tonight. Looking forward to the highlights.

Maine lost a close game against the Pels' affiliate team. Newly acquired Joe Wieskamp dropped 36 points (on 13/17 shooting including 6/10 from three). Another guy that fits the shooting + size combo that Stevens values so much.

JD Davison: 28 points (11/21 shooting), 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals
Jordan Walsh: 11 points (3/5 shooting, 3/4 from three), 3 rebounds, 2 assists
Drew Peterson: 18 points (8/16 shooting), 9 rebounds, 6 assists

I love DJ Steward's confidence in this one.

How did Wieskamp get here?

They traded for him by giving up Grant Riller and a 2025 G-League draft first round pick (which are a real thing apparently).

It's interesting. Wieskamp and Peterson are both about the same age. Both wing shooters with suspect defense. Peterson a little taller and better passer.

Wieskamp maybe a little more strength and athleticism.

I like Brad's strategy. Get both of them and you double your odds that 1 of them hits and could *maybe* emerge as a late bloomer hauser/duncan robinson/strus type in which case they might make the team next year.

If not, oh well..we've got plenty of depth and talent already on the team so we're still in good shape either way.

Low risk, high reward.

Here's a pretty good video about Wieskamp and his game.

That's a pretty good squad, and if they played anywhere near where I live, I'd go see them. It's not the NBA, but there is a lot of talent in the g-league.
