Kind of a sleeperish guy with some vague Derrick White vibes. Had a really strong first four game after this was published.

So I just decided to look up some mock draft, And I was blown away that the mock had read shepherd going number 32 san antonio.. Now I admit I have not watched many games from kentucky this year and have not watched rob dillingham who's also a potential top five pick.

I am aware San Antonio desperately.Needs a floor general and shepherd has a lot of good qualities. But going third is a bit surprising. But I am withholding my judgment until I see more games..

Does anyone have any opinion on shepherd?Or his kentucky wild cat teammate rob dillingham.

I haven’t watched a ton, but both seem a bit small. Their season is over now so won’t get to see more on a big stage. I don’t see NBA starters…maybe role players.

EDIT made a huge typo.. should have said Reed Sheppard going number 3.. Not a Knock Reed but man his ceiling can not be much more than an OK starter.

Reed could be a good glue guy, maybe Hero-lite to keep a Kentucky comparison but not as explosive offensively and better defensively (led SEC in steals). Really the similarity is just they're white, combo guards and not really pg but can play-make some, and went to Kentucky lol. Reed not a punchable face though so there's that. #3 does seem incredibly high for him, but it's a weak draft so late lotto seems reasonable.

Dillingham can score and can get wherever he wants too. I'm not surprised he's worked his way up the draft and to make another UK comparison again he could have a Maxey like trajectory. Defense needs some work, and like Maxey may never get there, but he can make some plays even if he's not a traditional point guard, can shoot, has the floater, and super quick too. Both slender guys as well who don't rely on strength which hurts them defensively.

Put me down for a little D.J. Burns, Jr., a throwback widebody who may be the best passer in the tournament.

Owners will just be surprised they're paying $200M in taxes next season instead of $50M like Zarren computed.

I'm not a college basketball expert but I see Kentucky's Dillingham, Sheppard in the Top 3 and Wagner in the Top 20 in Mock Drafts. Going off of yesterday's results, I glad the Celtics have the 30th pick. Yikes!

This team isn’t lacking much but one thing it doesn’t have is a guy in the RW3 mold. We could use a big that plays above the rim, blocks shots and rebounds. Sign me up once again for Adem Bona out of UCLA. We could also use a wing that can create for himself off the dribble off the bench. We should’ve moved up for Whitmore last year when he slipped. Scoring wing and athletic big should be the targets this year

Ulrich Chomche, the big kid from Cameroon, could be RW3 2.0.

Yeah super interesting. He actually shoots and makes some threes….very small sample.

Auburn lost by Broome looked solid again and I still like him as a potential pick for us in the 30-55 range..

In particular, he made some slick passes in their game vs Yale..also hit a 3 and scored some strong buckets inside.

I'm still high on D.J. Burns, Jr., who won yesterday's game against Oakland in the overtime. He'll go to Europe and be a star there, because he's not quite tall enough to be Jokic. But he's absolutely fun to watch operate in the post. It's really a lost art, except for Jokic and (to a lesser extent) Sabonis.

New DX/ESPN mock has us taking Justin Edwards at 30 if anyone still cares about them

I don't really care who we take, I just am so eager to learn if Brad will finally make a first round pick. My guess is no, in a trade down.

I don’t care who we draft as long as he’s at least 7’4.

Now that you say that, I just realized I can’t wait for the Edey-Wemby head to head matchup.

Why would Wemby be playing in garbage time of a Celtics blowout win?

I don't think so.
