I think Ilyasova would be great when paired alongside Rondo. Kid is only 24 years old too.

hes a terrible starting PG, but a 20 minute backup would be great for him
we need a backup PG

We can't and won't offer him 20 minutes a night as a backup PG - Rajon will be playing some 35-38 mins a night and if it ammount reduces, won't reduce to 28 minutes to make space for Calderon.

So no. I would prefer someone through the draft, guards are easier to find, and in the middle of it develop Moore as the back up PG.

I'm on the Kris Humphries idea. Really like this kid. Adding him and Mitchell, Moultrie, White or Nicholson through the Draft we will be in really good front-court position.

If KG doesn't resign or not want to play the C, then look at someone like Omer Asik - think that playing big minutes and with Rondo feeding him will be a 10-15pts lock ala Gortat - a young Ian Mahinmi with a lot of room to development or a proven veteran like Camby (always loved this guy, incredible great rebounder and shot-blocker!). Don't think about contention if we draft a C and try to build him into an NBA starter this next year, no way.

In the other hand, risky one, I would offer Eric Gordon a contract to start at the SG. Great shooter, slasher and strong finishing at the rim and YOUNG enough for the future. If not, OJ Mayo would be OK to me, but as a 6th man as in Memphis, if not Eric Gordon keep Avery starting.

I really doubdt we're getting Eric Gordon.
For the right price, sure, but it's a gamble, given his injury record

I concur, he's never played over 78 gms in a season. Plus Gordon's played only 64 gms in the last 2. I'd rather draft or sign a guy for much less whose more dependable.

Since the trade, minutes and role being down.. Mcgee's market value may have dropped significantly

I know there are IQ issues, but surprised people arent a bit more interested... between Doc's coaching, Rondos passing ability and KG's tutalage, he could really turn it around here, and lord knows we need the rebounding and athleticism
Michael Gilchrist is comin to change the game, on record right now sayin this guy will be an all time great 07/08/09

Ilyasova would be a nice pick up and is probably more attainable than Asik, since more teams need centers than pf's. Also, I see no reason why they can't sign both Ilyasova and Green, since Green's more of a 3 anyways.

Bring in a vet center, who can split time with KG and Steamer @ center, and next year's team can contend.

Mayo and Iliyasova would be quite the haul.

Mayo and Humphries or Mayo and İlyasova would be great. The only thing about İlyasova, a lot of people apparently seem to think his real birth year is 1984 instead of 1987. Still would be a good get though.

Is anyone interested in signing, read: overpaying, Brook Lopez?

He's someone I'd put a feeler out on to see what NJN is intending to do with him. I know he doesn't solve our rebounding issue but he gets KG back to playing PF and provides a ton of scoring inside, which is something the Celtics have sorely lacked.

I'd be interested to see how the Celtics would look with a roster like this:

Rondo/Draft pick/Moore
Bradley/Ray or Pietrus
Pierce/Green
KG/Bass or Draft pick/JJJ
Lopez/Steamer

Brooks a gamble, I'm sick of the old injured bigs. I don't want to take on a young version. It would have to be for really cheap for me to say yes.

I say, at draft day we trade Pierce + 2 first rounders for Rudy Gay, then in FA we we sign Shannon Brown for cheap, then roll with that, 2013 FA we sign Josh Smith and Al Jefferson
I think we have enough cap for this, but I'm not sure
