Well people are pointing out very key things in KG's favor. I already voted Rondo, but I will say this: IF we get KG back at a discount and either our cardiac/shoulder crew OR some similarly useful young legs, next year becomes so damn intriguing (in the meantime, let's beat the Heat!).

Went with KG since he was so vital to the defense and his offense was still very good. When he wasn't on the court, the Heat feasted on the Celtics. Rondo also had an excellent game and was the player of the game on offense but KG's impact on defense doesn't normally shown up in traditional stats like blocks/rebounds. It was nice to see Daniel's get a chance to contribute and come through as well.

The Celtics getting rid of KG if he is willing to accept a 1-2 year contract would be beyond stupid. He is still one of the best big men in the game when the games count.

Lastly, I liked how the Celtics didn't foul Wade. Lebron had a great game but if Wade doesn't shoot many free throws, the Heat are beatable without Bosh in the lineup.

It got no mention in the game thread, but PP stepping completely away from Wade on that pump fake was one of the highlights of the game, IMO.

I'm voting for KG. When he went out, that was the time The Heat cut the lead from 24 to 9. His defensive presence is very valuable, and hopefully Doc will be able to add him more minutes so we don't have to worry about collapses like this one.

One of the most likeable teams I can ever remember. Give their all every single game and probably punching above their weight.

I think this series is showing me for sure that we were legitimate contenders last year until Rondo had his elbow rearranged. The guy can really turn it up a notch in the playoffs. I'll take those nights in Toronto where he doesn't give an effort if he will continue to look this good in the playoffs.

KG...I love that man. Hasn't even been that long and his number retirement will be tear-inducing for sure!

I have had a decent number of beers on this lovely Friday night, but it looked to me like KG was guarding Lebron at the end of that game when Mia went small and did a damn good job of denying Lebron the ball and hounded him from baseline to baseline.

Having to choose between Rondo and KG simply isn't fair.

KG was his usual dominant self defensively and really set the tone by accepting the challenge physically.

Rondo played the perfect quarterback game making all the right calls and going hero when needed.

I go with the Ticket in the end because he's truly going it alone inside for the Celtics. No KG and no amount of Rondo heroism could've saved this team.

KG was awesome tonight and is easily one of my favorite players of all time. But dude is 4 inches taller than anyone else on the floor. I feel like Rondo is never good enough for me and tonight he was and then some.

There is no debate IMO.

The Heat shot 38% with KG on the floor, 85% with KG on the bench....yes you read that right, 85%.

KG awesome with 24-11Rs, great low post O, & great D.

RR awesome with 21-10As, clutch play in Q4, & great control of the game.

Although he did not shoot well, the Truth was JUST as awesome & essential. He was very aggressive on both ends & set the tone early. 23-4Rs-4As-1 block-2 steals. Hit his 7 shots at critical junctures in the game. The shots he missed were great looks - he easily could have scored 40 points. Outstanding D on multiple players. LeBron scored mostly on switches --- NOT on Paul.

RA was valuable with 10 points.
Quis gave us great minutes & 9 points.
Dooling gave us great energy, great D & 7 points.

Game 4 just as ESSENTIAL as this game was. MUST WIN.
We CAN WIN THIS SERIES! SHOCK the **** WORLD!!!
