The NBA has granted Boston a 2013 second-round pick from Oklahoma City in a dispute over Jeff Green's medical condition, sources tell Y!

That makes it 5(?) 2nd round picks in '13 now.

EDIT: My bad. It's just the 3rd. The other 2 are in '14 and '15 respectively.

Weird. No idea there was such a dispute going on. Woohoo, the #60 pick on it's way!

So did the FO push OKC into admitting they knew about Greens condition last season? Only thing that would make sense for them to give the team a pick.

It's Charlotte's 2013 2nd rounder from OKC. That's a valuable trade piece for right now.

Woo! Woo!

Seriously that's good stuff. Wasn't even aware this was being looked into.

They might be able to flip that in a package for a very late first rounder to a team (like OKC) looking to avoid salary. Then they could get someone like Barton, Green, Wroten, or Ezeli.

Scumbags if they knew about it. I like the pick, but we might've won the title this year with a healthy green, perk, or the assets a s&t'ed perk could've netted us.

I require details about this. Did they really pull some shizz on us?

Apparently they were concealing details about James Harden's heart as well... We learned in the finals that he has none

Another great job by Ainge to pursue this and get this 2nd round pick.

Yeah this sounds very fishy. I'd like to know what this is all about. A second round pick even if it is #31 sounds like poor compensation if you trade someone as the major piece of a trade knowing they have a heart condition and not disclosing it. Of course the details on this are pretty vague at this point.

Karma is a real thing. If they indeed messed with us, there's no doubt why they are going through what they are now. Karma is a bitch, and will get you.

Not sure how significant this is, but everything adds up I suppose.

If nothing else, this allows us to select a quality second round player next year....and try to go all in to get a high prospect next year in the first.... You can find a quality rotation guy with high second rounder like that. Good insurance policy.

We need more trade chips, avery is our only real asset, and he's slowly becoming a cornerstone of our team.

Rondo and Bradley play the highest quality "rat ball" or "guard play" as doc calls it. Very, very hard to give up either of those guys. Avery commands a Future top 5 pick automatically, according to management.

Actually seems reasonable compensation since in all likelihood it was a mistake of incompetence instead of done on purpose.

If OKC knew Green had a heart problem and he died without them telling him, they could be sued for many millions of dollars.

A mid to late first rounder that could have been better with some luck + an early second + the rights to sign Green in the future seems to be reasonable compensation for Perkins perceived value at the time coming off of a major injury looking to sign a long term contract.

Meet my friend Karma OKC.

Everyone was gushing over you guys and your team go smoked by the same Heat team that this "old" Celtics team took to 7 games.

If there really is no protection on the pick that is basically a first rounder...nice asset that came out of nowhere...

Charlotte's 2013 second rounder? I bet Celts asked for a first, OKC was willing to give up their second, they decided on Charlotte's as compensation. LOL.

Nice pickup here. Basically a first and high second for Perk. I'd take that any day.

yup. and we could very well get to keep jeff green too.

i'd love to hear about what and how was disclosed by whom and when, but i suspect that info is going to be pretty closely guarded. especially since this is sort of a precedent-setting case -- has it ever happened that another team has been awarded draft picks owing to a failure to disclose a medical condition?
