It didn't take long for ex-Celtic Chris Johnson to find a new home as the Philadelphia 76ers claimed him off waivers.

The 6-foot-6 guard appeared in 40 games for Boston last season, averaging 6.3 points and 2.4 rebounds while logging 19.7 minutes per game.

Johnson's talent certainly intrigued the Sixers. But bringing him into training camp is an extremely low-risk, high-reward proposition for a Philadelphia team that's in full blown rebuilding mode.

Was hoping he'd catch on with an actual, legit NBA team. Kid's too productive to warrant playing time in Philly.

he should do well for them but sucks he will be around the intentional tanking.. he may get benched for scoring too many points or winning basketball games

Actually think with penetrating MCW & Wroten, that'll he'll get some good looks.

Well, he landed in one of the league's select few spots where I just will not be able to root for him.

There is no way I can cheer for anyone who puts on that Philadelphia uniform.

I barely remember him and I have to imagine that's as close as he'll get to being a player of any significance. Another Justin Reed.

Glad to see that Chris still has a job...He's a nice guy and a hard worker who seems very coachable...Hope he does real well against the rest of the league and ends up with a terrific career....

He was the player that I felt most guilty rooting against at times last year to enable the tank. Hard to root against someone that hustles like him and is just trying to survive in the NBA. I hope he helps Philly win a few more games than they would otherwise.
