Asked what his favorite pre-game meal is Thornton replayed:" 2 Big Macs, some coke and big fries"...

Nah, he's okay, looks energetic, happy to play with Bass, they grew up in the same hood. It's just his face expression, he generally looks like he don't give a ****, but it's not.

I actually think Thornton can be a huge boost off the bench, I'm hoping that we somehow make the playoffs in order to attract some big free agents.

Ben Rohrbach: Vitor Faverani on drunk driving arrest: "There's no truth. Somebody in Spain tried to kill me, but he can't." Um ... what?!?! Twitter @brohrbach

Can anyone explain this further?

I thought that was an excellent media day. I didn't see Smart or Young or Rondo interviewed, but there were plenty of positive takeaways from what I did see.

Jeff Green is noticeably more jacked up. Like, Power Forward jacked up. Probably 240-245 lbs now, maybe only 10-15 lbs less than the new slimmed down LeBron.

The more versatile Green is, the more flexible Stevens can be with lineups. If Evan Turner is playing like a starter in reserve minutes, Stevens now has the situational option of sliding Jeff Green over to the PF spot. A jacked-up Jeff also means he'll be more aggressive around the hoop, scoring and rebounding.

Brandon Bass says he has been working on some new skills he is keeping secret until the games start. My first thought was improved ball handling, but it was pretty much revealed that Bass is probably talking about a corner 3-point shot. That's a nice skill addition that further enables guys like Smart, Rondo, and Turner to play together despite not being 3 point shartshooters, but excellent at attacking the basket.

Bradley looks really confident and composed, and settled in to Boston as home sweet home. He has a full season of shooting success to build off of, and he's been in the gym every single day working to make his jumper as elite as his on ball defense.

Zeller is definitely stronger, and even if other NBA fans laugh at Zeller being our center - if Zeller earns the spot - that laughter doesn't mean Zeller isn't a starting level center. Especially since Zeller is coming into the season 15-20 lbs heavier than last year.

That's a lot of positives, and I didn't even mention KO yet, looking very strong and confident, like the veteran he is.

Bass took 3's in college. But seeing him launch that weird slingshot from beyond the arc would bring back painful memories of the OB days.

If Bass starts hitting threes I am going to be Frank the Tank level fired up. Cant' wait to tell everyone on the T&T board that trashed my Bass trades that they were good deals and Gronk-spike it in their faces.

First preseason game one week from today BTW.

It's going to be a knock down drag out for those starting frontcourt spots.

Bass is confident he can earn/retain PF spot, Sully has been re-establishing his top rate post game all summer. Sully says he never ended up losing any weight, it just went to other places. Presumably muscle.

KO is now a strong 7 footer, an imposing force at PF and sufficient at center. Zeller is bigger than ever and very very comfortable with Brad Stevens.

I think our starting front court could be any combination of those guys.

Sully-KO, Sully-Bass, Sully-Zeller, KO-Bass, KO-Zeller, Bass-Zeller. Any of them are plausible.

If Bass starts hitting 3s at a steady rate, there are going to be teams that will regret not taking him off our hands this summer.

This league gets more and more talented every single year.

Bass hitting 3's makes him more valuable to us as a trade asset and a rotation player.. Great news, potentially

It's a Rohrbach test. You see what you see in that.
