Yeah Heat played really well, Clippers looked like crap and Deandre Jordan calling out their fans.

Phoenix' offense jammed in the 2nd OT against Memphis losing by 12.

IMO the Pelicans are not going to make the playoffs, too thin bench and inexperienced team. Plus all 5 teams in the SW division can't make the playoffs.

If nothing major happens, SAS,MEM,DAL and HOU make the playoffs.

Blazers and OKC from the NW.

That leaves GSW fom the PAC, the other PAC team is between the Suns and Clippers. SAC keeps getting hosed by the refs and/or screw themselves over.

Portland, Cavs, Kings coming up in the next four nights for the Clips. Got to get some losses there.

And just like that, Nuggets are tied with OKC, the latter sucks ass. Typical Celtics luck, when all we hope for is OKC to be able to make the playoffs.

Portland has been hit by the injury bug big time.

Longterm injuries:
LaMarcus Aldridge (Out until at least early March)
Joel Freeland (Out until at least early February)
Robin Lopez (Out until at least mid-February)

Listed as day to day:
Nicolas Batum (Doubtful for Jan. 24 vs. Washington)
Chris Kaman (Questionable for Jan. 24 vs. Washington)

Their only "bigs" are now Meyers Leonard, and Thomas Robinson.

Yikes. Stinks for them. The health thing has really not landed in favor of the Clips pick, LA's had their core group all year while Portland, OKC, SA, Houston etc have all had tough injuries. Clips still haven't been able to break out of that 6th seed however.

A few more patsies on the Clips schedule before the end of the month. Feb. is the toughest month of the year for the Clippers by far. Jan. was really their time to make gains and they didn't fully take advantage.

Apparently Aldridge will not have a surgery and plans to play against the Wizards tonight! I hope he doesn't aggravate his injury. A cast can probably do the trick as it's not his shooting hand.

LaMarcus Aldridge Puts Thumb Surgery On Hold, Will Play Against Wizards
JAN 24, 2015 2:34 PM

LaMarcus Aldridge has put surgery on hold for the ligament tear in his left thumb, the Portland Trail Blazers announced Saturday.

Aldridge will play against the Washington Wizards on Saturday night.

Man, Phoenix getting worked by LAC at every opportunity. No help from those chumps, they deserve to get knocked out of the playoffs.

Matt Barnes strained abdominal muscle last night in a close win over Denver at home. Unsure of how long he'll be out if he misses time.

IIRC Bosh missed the first round against the Pacers in the 2012 playoffs with abdominal strain, he didn't return until the ECF against the Celtics.

So this could mean Barnes is out for a while.

I think a trade where we send them Prince, and they send Barnes and Hawes to a 3rd team works money wise ,makes them lose depth but also get a solid vet at SF. Hawes is a bum anyway so they win by subtracting him.

Nice to get some good news from Utah tonight. Currently up one against LAC in SLC. Utah has actually played LA pretty tough this year though they haven't pulled one out yet. Maybe tonight.

http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400578982

Rivers 3-5 with 11 at the half.

Clippers scraped by Utah again. So annoying.

Good news though the Mavs are sliding and now 7th, this was unimaginable 2 weeks ago.

Clippers' tough schedule begins tomorrow at the Pelicans, then b2b at the Spurs, a couple of losses to end the month would be great for their pick.

To damn dissapointing though are OKC, they're like last years Knicks.

What do you thinks going on with that team?

Has Doc lost some respect for going out and getting his boy to play the backup point?

I'm beginning to think they may have some trouble making the playoffs now....Never would have thought that going into this year... :dontknow:

They've actually been on a strong stretch until last night. I think the major issue with them is they are top heavy. Their top 3-4 guys are really good then they drop off hard. The other is they are really pretty weak on the wing. Crawford/Redick don't bring much besides scoring, and Barnes isn't that good for a starting three. I did notice Barnes had a bad night after coming back from an abdominal strain, so maybe he's not right. He really struggled early in the year and the team did as well, so something to keep an eye on. Just no depth there so if he plays badly it really hurts.

Rivers has actually had a few decent scoring games lately.

I think they make the playoffs but their tough stretch starts tonight and I'd like that pick to be more like 22-23 than 26. We'll see.

Here it is: Spurs on the back end of a back to back, then six games in eight nights, five of them serious playoff teams. Mainly all on the road. If the Clips survive this they are sitting pretty.
