He's a better defensive player than Jose Valentin and the bat isn't even close.

 . Wow, what a homer.

How the hell can you even say something so stupid after yesterdays game? Cano thinks he's some hall of famer with his nonchalant attitude and crappy ass defensive skills. He can't compare to Stache' Valentin defensively.

  The only thing stupider than saying Valentin > Cano in regards to defensive ability is using 1 game, a very small sample, to prove your point.

You would honestly want Valentin on your team over Cano? Wow, what a homer.

I'd like to change my vote that the Mets have the better pen.

When you have a stacked lineup already there is no need for a good hitter with sucky defensive skills. stache isn't even that bad of a hitter and he'll be hitting in the 8th slot.

I'm not sure you've watched Valentin play defense last year and this past year. The guy is great especially at turning DPs.

Right. You should have bad hitters in the lineup just for the sake of it? Good theory. Just because you have a good lineup 1-7 doesn't mean that #8 should be a black hole

Have you watched Cano turn double players? He is terrific at it. Unfortunately, turning double plays isn't the only factor in 2B defense. Valentin has awful range.

and how the hell is Valentin a black hole?

he has only played 20 games this season and has outplayed Cano defensively and offensively.

Any advanced metric that has Adam Kennedy even close to top in terms of range is a joke

he has only played 20 games this season and has outplayed Cano defensively and offensively.

It's 20 games. By that theory, last year, Chris Shelton was better than Arod.

For the first 20 games he was producing more then A Rod.

back to Cano who is garbage defensively. How many errors could he have made yesterday. He dropped 2 DP balls, he almost threw the ball wide to jeter on a force play, barely getting the out and he had 3 errors.

HE ThREW THE BALL OFF OF HIS FRIKKIN fOOT. he is garbage defensively. Julio Franco might be able to turn a DP better then cano.

He has games where he has lapses in concentration. This doesn't have every game. The errors usually comes in bunches.

I guess it's just more fun to exagerrate things to holy hell than tell the truth. :D

STFU, you're the homer. Wright over A-Rod?!?!?! LMAO.

Anyway, Robinson Cano's RATE2 at 2B is 107. A 100 is average and a 110 is Gold Glove caliber.

RF - Green vs. Abreu right now Green

Bench
Chavez, Franco, Easley, Gomez vs. Cabrera, Phelps, Cairo, Mienkiewtz Id say this is a push.

Starting Pitching
1 - Glavine vs. Mussina

3 - Maine vs. Wang
4 - Perez vs. Pettite
5 - Hernandez vs. Hughes Hughes
Also, Pettitte is the Yankees ace and Moose has to be considered the number 4 so I'm gonna go with Pettitte over Glavine and Moose over Perez, also I think Wang is better than Maine.

As for the bullpen I agree

Let me rephrase my post.....Posada over Loduca
Delgado over Giambi, because Giambi can't play the field. (Mientkiewicz is the real 1B)
Cano at second.
Jeter at short. I'll take a guy that is going to end his career with 3,750 hits any day.
Arod at third. Best player in baseball
Matsui in Left
Beltran over Damon.
Right now, Green over Abreu. Abreu couldn't hit himself out of a shell.
I'd say the bench is a push
SP:
Pettitte
Clemens
Wang
Moose
Hughes
>>>>>
Glavine
Pedro
Maine
Perez
El Duque......am I wrong on this???

Bullpen is a push right now I believe.

Whos better? Probably the Mets, but when the Yankees get healthy and start to hit who knows? It may be too late to find out

PS Im a Yankees fan

I'm sorry but I don't know how anyone can call A Rod the best player in baseball. The most talented is may be a different story but I don't see how he is the best player in baseball.
