Markakis, if only because he's been healthy and he has a miniature howitzer for an arm. Hermida has the better bat, but he's been injured and his defense isn't nearly on par with Markakis'.

just going from their stats...markakis appears to have a better bat, yes. but not by a lot.

Hermida drew more walks, had the better OBP, better SLG% and had more HR's per AB in a horrible hitters ballpark. :crazy:

i guess it was too much to ask of you to realize i went by career numbers. how silly of me. but i'm glad you judge players off one season. :)

I would also take Markakis right now. He has a very good arm with good range and his bat is getting better and better. He will never be a pure power threat in my mind, but he is a very nice No.2 hitter.

Hermida at this point is potential unfulfilled.
