Hornets may keep 10th pick

Post#1 » by Copperhead » Wed Jun 20, 2012 3:31 pm

Hornets General Manager Dell Demps said Tuesday he hasn’t received any offers warranting serious consideration for the team’s second draft pick, the 10th overall, and he’s moving forward with plans to keep the selection. “With this draft class, I really like the 10th position,’’ Demps said. “We’re going to look at the best available player, and I think we can get any position. I think we’re going to get a good player in here.’’

So unless he gets any offers warranting serious consideration for the pick, looks like he'll be keeping it.

:) Bobcats fan here. Would you take DJ Augustine and DJ White for the 10th pick?
Both young vets/solid 3-4 years NBA experience.

Augustin's an enigma. Sometimes he strings together great performances and in others, he's a complete dud. His shooting percentages are also a reason for concern; he hasn't shot higher than 43% since his rookie campaign. I don't really know too much about D.J. White to base a solid opinion, so with that being said, I think we're better off keeping the pick.
