Pelicans rotation

Post#1 » by BadNFluenz » Fri Jul 19, 2013 6:24 pm

What will it look like?

I guess the startes will be

Holiday
Gordon
Aminu (is he back?)
Anderson
Davis

with Tyreke as 6th man for the 1,2 and 3

Am i right? What about the other rotation players?

Holiday/Roberts/Jackson
Gordon/Rivers
Aminu/Evans
Davis/Anderson
Smith/Stiemsma/Withey

In crunch time, I'd assume that it'd be Holiday, Gordon, Evans, Anderson, Davis

No. As long as we have Holiday/Gordon/Evans, he better not get decent minutes.

The Pelicans are a "sleeper" in the West. Gordon has to be the guy he used to be...so does Tyreke. Anderson and A Davis have to play but I think J Smith is more important than most folks think. Holiday? Hard to say what's there. His play...and opinions...vary. Is Rivers gonna breakout...or was he a draft mistake?

Pelicans can make the playoffs if all goes well but the west is tough. there's a lot of competition for the low seeds.

Hello Pelicans fans!

I just thought I would post in case some of you were interested to hear how Anthony Morrow's offseason has been going. I understand he is most likely going to be towards the end of your bench but during the slow months of August any news is good news right? I was lucky enough to have a catchup with Accelerate Basketball which is where Morrow has been training this summer. According to their trainers he has an unbelievable work ethic and has really stepped it up a notch since his underwhelming 12-13 season, if you want to know more read here:

(The website is also brand new so if you have any feedback please let me know)

In my opinion, it's the best rotation. But I wonder what's the best role for Evans? He's not a better PG rather than Forward? He's an enigma.

What about Pierre Jackson? He'll play in EU this year no?

I find it crazy to spend so much money on Tyreke Evans to then make him a 6th man. I say screw it, start your 5 best players and see how it pans out.

PG: J'rue Holiday
SG: Eric Gordon
SF: Tyreke Evans
PF: Ryan Anderson
C: Antonio Davis
Bench: Al-Farouq Aminu, Austin Rivers, Jason Smith

^Didn't know Antonio Davis was back in the League.

I don't see why Evans coming off the bench is a big deal. Ryan Anderson got plenty of minutes off the bench for us last year, and Reke is far more versitile than RA.

I think that at least one of Jrue, EJ, or Reke should be on the floor at all times. I hope Monty feels the same way.

You should expect about 7 pts and 7 rebs

Don't know about fantasy basketball, but I hope that helps
