What do you think? Will he be MVP one day? If so, when?

I think that he will. Not quite sure when, tho.

Right now we're going into a period with some serious MVP candidates, and Davis will be one of them every year. He'll need more success from his team overall to get past some of his fellow candidates.

I'm going to vote 2018 because he might be entering "Unstoppable Mode" at that point.

Exactly, he might actually become the best player in the league sooner, but I picked him for the two years after that because it usually requires your team to be among the best, and as tough as the west is, that may take awhile.

I went with 2017-2019. I think the Pelicans won't be a top 2 team in the West yet next year, which will limit his chances, but he's on a trajectory to be good enough to give his team a good chance of it soon.

It's more dependend on his team than AD himself imo. Based just on his number he could be MVP even last year but MVP are always selected from top teams.
I selected 2018-2020. He's so good it's hard to belive he may not won MVP few times. But if Pels management will screw it up it will be hard for them to become top team in the west not matter how good will AD play.

Once his team improves, he has a great shot. If they can add pieces around him, it could be as soon as the next few years.

NBA love a big man and it's been a while since we've had a real dominant big man. I say sooner rather than later.

Probably next year to be honest, though I still think LeBron will remain the true best player in the league.

It's pretty rare that a player from a team seeded lower than about 3rd wins it, though it's not unprecedented...it seems the writers today just always pick the best player on the top seed, or at least close to it.

I picked 2018. I think that gives the Pels enough time to become a top 3 team. Its hard to imagine him winning MVP if his teams near the bottom of the West. Generally the award is given to the best player on the best team.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

The important thing here is: can he play at MVP level? and at the age of 21 he already is there. Then it depends on how your team finish in the standings, so i hope in the next 2-3 years we are in the top of the west (18-19).
