I wanted him in Nawlins in past season, not sure about now.. unless Asik is going to ATL. Maybe Budinger feeks Asik is a "Spurs-type" player and gives him a go?

I'd trade Moore, Evans and some kind of heavily protected first rounder for him. Maybe send Frazier to a 3rd team for additional value going to ATL.

Something would have to be done with Ajinca or Asik is the problem.

Being that the Pels identify as an athletic team that can run up and down the floor. It would've made sense for Dwight Howard to fit this scheme. The question is would Howard fit this current team that is for lack of better words: in the middle of a rebuild?

I personally think Dwight would transform the team defensively overnight. So yes.

No disputes on the defensive end. It would be an improvement for the Pelicans. Will Howard welcome the the idea of going from a team in a playoff race to a rebuilding team?

I think the Pelicans make the playoffs with him is my point. The stigma of the Pelicans is a bigger issue than the competitiveness imo.

By "stigma" you mean what's going behind the scenes with the family drama, the GM, and the Pelicans struggles to stay healthy and fight for the playoffs?

No just the general stigma of playing for a lame team with a lame name. Similar but not as bad as like being traded to the Hornets or Kings or something. Pelicans aren't really a cool team. Dysfunction has a lot to do with that but not totally. Like if D12 got traded to the Knicks or Heat (assuming Whiteside was going out) who I'd argue are both less competitive than the Pelicans he'd be more likely to be ok with it.

Sometimes it's not the name that defines you, it's the chemistry and determination that's left on the court. When Seattle lost the Sonics and moved to Oklahoma, they need a new moniker. When they chose the Thunder, I didn't take the name all that seriously. It took me a while to adjust to the name. When guys like Westbrook, Harden(Houston), and Durant(Golden State) had a hand in making the team what they are, then the name itself doesn't matter. It's about the respect the team put in their hard work to earn their keep and the trust of the fans to follow them for years to come.

I guess it's Ferry's influence.
