Who has the best overall system?

I would say it's Colorado or Arizona right now...

Oh the Devil Rays have so much talent its crazy. They could easily get a good number 2 starter and and a good starting position player for their talent and still be ranked in the top 10 in teams with best farm system.

With all of that talent I don't see how the Rays stay in 5th.

Rays. Plus they can add David Price this summer. It's too bad they're in the toughest division in baseball.
Look at that 2008 rotation:
Kazmir
Price
Niemann
McGee
Davis
Obvioiusly they won't all pan out, but no one can touch that.
Most overrated system: Angels.

Because their guys are still young and developing. Give the Rays 3-5 years and we may be talking World Series.

Most of Colorado/Zona's talent has graduated to the majors...
As far as actual MINOR league talent, I really like the Angels system... I think Erick Aybar will be a stud.

The Angels system sucks (obvious hyperbole). They have a lot of depth in the middle infield with Aybar and Rodrigeuiz but the only two guys I really like are Wood (who loses a bit of value moving to third) and Adenhart. They have a decent system but I like Colorado and Arizona's talent better, not just top end talent but depth as well. mahalo

The Devil Rays do have a great system and we are finally seeing some of the priced pieces from Arizona's. Another great system is the Los Angeles Dodgers, who still have a lot left on the farm for the next few years.

When it comes to pitching, the Yankees rank first. So much pitching depth... But the only real major hitting prospects we have are Tabata and Duncan.
2010 Yankees Rotation
Phil Hughes
Dellin Betances
Chien Ming Wang
Joba Chamberlain
Tyler Clippard/Ian Kennedy/Humberto Sanchez (two of the three can be used as trade pieces)

The Yanks have some interesting depth and Hughes is probably the best pitching prospect in the minors but there are teams with better depth. Hughes is good, I think Wang is overrated (I think he's going to get hurt if he doesn't raise his strikeout rate). Betances is nice but unproven, I worry about Joba the Hut's weight and injury history. Clippard is always going to be an Eckstein type player, scrapping to make it. Kennedy is interesting but I'd like to see what he does in the minors. And Sanchez is probably going to end up in the pen. While I personally like the upside of the Red Sox depth, I'd be lying if I said that the Sox had better pitching depth than the Yankees. The Sox might have more upside but a lot of their pitchers are unproven out of the Joba/Betances mold. mahalo

My thoughts too. AZ till now, now maybe TB.
AZ still has some great hitters down there in Hankerd, Pena, Gonzalez (projected to be a lefty Beltran with more power), and Upton. Not bad for a farm system, amny of whose elite prospects are now all in the majors (Quenitn, Drew, Jackson, Young, Montero, Callaspo, Owings)
