Josh Donaldson - C - CHC

edit - I also expect Donnie Veal to rebound from the abortion of a season he had last year.

Reid Engel is already starting to make the leap.

And Dan Bard. Watch.

He looks like he could be the nest Juan Pierre without as much speed.

SS Argenis Diaz -- Ozzie Smith reincarnate.
OF Josh Reddick -- Does he count? Regardless, he has amazing contact ability, good power, good speed, strong arm. All of his tools are above average.
OF David Marks -- Now I'm just being a Red Sox homer.
C Orlando Mercado -- Now I'm just crazy.
RP Daniel Stange -- gets it up to 96, really good command, gets lots of groundballs, violent delivery. He's going to have to make it as a reliever.

Reddick is who I was talking about last year.

I work with his Aunt.

After three starts Shaun Garceau has a 12/3 K/BB and a 1.69 ERA in 10.2 innings for Quad City. The only thing holding him back is cutting down on the walks and HRs allowed. If he can develop his change, he

Anthony Rizzo
10/19 with 3 doubles currently hitting .324. All he needs to do is find his home run stroke and he will be rocketing up prospects charts. Also, his birthday is August 8, 1989 making him 18 for almost the entire season. For a reference point Sett, Andrus is only a full year older than him. This is what is called being young for a league and still producing. mahalo

Dae-Eun Rhee is a Korean pitcher in the Cubs system. He's playing in the Midwest league and has really started out strong.

16 IP, 8 hits, 0.56 ERA, 15 K's, 4 BB's.

He's just turned 19 a couple weeks ago, but his repertoire is very advanced for his age. They were expecting big things when they signed him and he's fulfilled all expectations. He has 3 really good pitches and a 4th that still needs some refining. He's also got good height and a frame that can add more muscle. He'll probably be on the Top 100 lists next season.

You can't just pick people who are off to a hot start. This thread is only good till the season began.

So far, so good...

Austin Jackson - .292 average, .393 OBP, 4 SB (0 CS), impressive 8/7 BB/K ratio

Jesus Montero - .353/.377/.549 (.926 OPS), 4 doubles, 2 home runs, 12 RBI, 11 runs, 18 hits in 12 games

Jairo Heredia - 1-0, 3.60 ERA...15 innings, 12 hits, 5 BBs, 16 Ks, .222 BAA

Austin Romine - .286 average, 3 RBI, SB...not much else as of now but has only played in 8 games

Carmen Angelini - .250 average, .333 OBP, most impressed/surprised by the 5 SB and 0 CS...speed was an underrated and overlooked part of his game

Ivan Nova - 3.60 ERA, 10 innings, 13 hits, 7 Ks

Abraham Almonte - .294 average, .345 OBP, 4 SB, only one extra base hit

That's right top team in the ESL.

Mike Carp has been crazy so far, too.
