its the waiver priority rank.

all the players that didn't get drafted today went onto the waiver list. if you want on of those guys, you can put a claim on them, if someone else puts a waiver claim on the same player, the person with the better priority gets the player (1 has the best waiver priority). you can also just wait 3 days until they all become free agents and you can just sign as you please. you get lower on the waiver priority list if you use it.

in the future any player released by any of us will go through the waiver list for 3 days as well.
