Line-up today for the Braves
1. Bourn CF
2. Prado 3B
3. McCann C
4. Uggla 2B
5. Freeman 1B
6. Diaz LF
7. Heyward RF
8. Pastornicky SS
9. Hanson P
Considering Matty D owns Santana, it's a good move to have him up in the 6 spot and keeps our Lefty/Righty Balance. I'm super pumped for this game and needless to say, I'm not getting much work done this afternoon.
The big question is, will Heyward make it 3/3 on hitting a homerun in his first at-bat of the season?
A few other news & notes:
Chipper is healing well, will be hitting in optional practice tomorrow and could be ready for the game on Tuesday. Braves may send him to Rome to get a few at-bats on Thursday before the home opener.
Also, the Mets moved in their fences again this year. Moved them up another 10 feet and lowered the wall. I have a feeling they'll be doing that in Miami next year if their stadium keeps playing like last night.

Prado with the first hit of the season for the Braves, a single. Uggla is Santana's first strike out victim.

Mets strand Murphy at 2b. Hanson getting the ball to the plate faster, without that hitch in his delivery.

Shouldn't we be going after Santana? I mean isn't he rusty after not pitching in a game for 2 years.

Uggla error allowed Andres Torres to reach first, but Tommy Hanson picked him off!!!! Kris Medlen must be teaching everybody his pick-off move.

We always get dominated by left-handed pitchers, the only guy who can hit left-handed pitching on the team is Prado (and Diaz/Chipper when they're in the line-up).
Our best bet is to have good at bats against Santana, get him up to his limit of 85 pitches and then dominate the Mets bullpen.

I always love with a runner gets thrown out on first. Nice job Hanson.

If it's a good pitch, fine, but I wish he would take more time. I realize it can be difficult to hold off.

I thought Bobby Cox said he was too patient.
