Braves tie it up at 4-4 in the 3rd, McCann grounded into fielder's choice to first, J Upton scored, E Gattis out at second, F Freeman to third, Johnson grounded into fielder's choice to pitcher, F Freeman scored, B McCann to second.

Dodgers retake the lead in the 3rd, AGon RBI single, Schumaker RBI single. Neither starting pitcher makes it to the 4th. 6-4 Dodgers end of 3rd.

Including their ABs tonight, Heyward is 2-11 in the series, E Johnson is 0-8 with a BB, J Upton is 2-10, Mac is 0-6.

Braves lost game 3 13-6, down 2 games to 1. Dodgers have outscored the Braves 23-11 in this series.

Sad. Bats finally show a little life, and the pitching stinks. Unless they step up big time tonight, this season may be over much quicker than we want.

Defense has been an issue also, on BBTN they discussed if Fredi should start BJ, which would move Justin back to LF and Heyward to RF. During this series, the ball has been hit to Gattis in LF 13 times, he has only recorded 3 putouts.

Dodgers announce they will start Clayton Kershaw on short rest tonight, instead of Ricky Nolasco. :curse:

Kershaw threw 124 pitches in a Game 1 victory Thursday in Atlanta. He’s never pitched on three days’ rest in his career.

Hopefully the Braves can take advantage of this. Need a solid outing from Garcia, who is 6-3 with a 3.48 ERA in his postseason career.

Series over. All season we had good starting pitching and led the NL in HRs. Our starters ERA this series is barely under 9.00, and the Dodgers have hit 6 HRs to the Braves 1.

Such a terrific season, but a bitter disappointment in the post season. Bats fails us, pitching failed us, pretty much everything went to crap. This game may not be over as it is only the end of the 3rd, but I have an early day coming. When I wake, I fully expect not to see the Braves again until 2014. If I am wrong, which I hope, I will be pleasantly surprised.
