The Atlanta Braves made the move for Angels' left handed reliever Scott Down. Atlanta traded Cory Rasmus for Downs who's 37 years old and an expiring contract with a 1.84 ERA this season. Downs was Frank Wren's target and will add a much needed left hand, and a veteran presence, to the number 1 Bullpen in the National League.

OK with it. Only costs us Rasmus, so it is not a bad deal at all.

Think Rasmus will end up being a good middle reliever but considering how well the Braves crank out RHP I don't think it's a very impactful loss for the organization. Downs is a great add for the rest of the season. Braves made their already fantastic bullpen even better.

Good addition to the bp, didn't cost us much. I still wish we got Peavy!
