Opening day!

Post#1 » by Celtics_Champs » Mon Apr 1, 2013 8:20 pm

Right now it's 5-2 against the yanks. Hopefully we can close them out.

Lester pitched pretty good till he hit that 4th inning, then he ran into troubles. Better then Sabathia though, so I'll take it.

The next coming, Jackie Bradley worked the count well and even scored a run and got an RBI. Was it overly impressive, no, but a pretty solid debut for the youngstah.

I loved Uehara's performance. 5 pitches. Bailey came in and made a huge strikeout on Youk too.

Oh and Iglesias is the POG for me. What a big day for his opening day debut.

Piled it on at the end there. First opening day win in too long. I really wasn't feeling this team up until spring training, but they've grown on me. The bullpen looks to be the best in baseball.

Nice win for the Sox today. The pitching looked very good other than one bad inning for Lester. I thought Bradley had a couple of big at bats for the team.

Boy the yanks suck. Look forward to Dempster tonight.

Dempster hurts my eyes. Waste of money IMO.

Yeah besides the K's not an encouraging outing whatsoever. This game is all about Andy Pettite and maybe Mo Rivera at the end. Old dudes, but still can be dominant.

Sox were close, a gust of wind in two at bats and the game woulda been tied. Bradley JR and Ross came close.

How bout those awfully awkward crossovers with the bruins announcers? It's like DO was the only one not afraid to talk.
