so it was just announced that we got MARC GASOL and AARON MCKIE in the trade also. plus this allows for 10+ million in free agency next season to sign a player i just named.

Thats the way to see it. On paper the deal is horrid but if you see the bigger picture there is (rebuilding) light at the end of the tunnel.

I think peoples point is that you could have gotten that much expiring contract with a prospect or 2 coming back you could actually use and some real draft picks. These 2 Laker picks will be in the 28 range now.

Wow, are the Nuggets too late to get in on the going out of business sale? How about Rudy Gay for Von Wafer?

Has any Grizz fan noticed how friends of Jerry west get really good deals at the expense of the Grizz. I mean you trade Pau for scrapes and you can't include Brian Cardinal? It's like the Lakers get exactly what they want and you take what they will give you. It's like Chris Wallace was not even trying. There are at least twenty guys who post regularly on this site who could have done a much better job on this. This deal smells really bad and it screams West involvement to some degree.

You know it's a bad deal when fans on other boards are offering you sympathy. If our organization was not a joke around the league it definitely is now. Who de we expect to sign in Free Agency when our reputation is this low?

Your GM should be put before a firing squad. Can we have Navarro back? We are prepared to offer you guys a game worn Arenas Jersey...probably even a Caron Butler bobblehead just to make it fair.

Conley
Crittenton
Gay
Beasley
Darko

Congrats on one hell of a future.

that makes perfect sense

as a colateral damage, now we have zero options of resigning navarro. he will follow pau and marc gasol to l.a.

which means we should get something for him while we still can.

The way I look at it, the main reason the Grizz pulled the trade is because of the cap space. IMO no way Gasol is worth Critt & two late 1st rounders.

I expect to see another Grizz player to be traded for additional cap space.

The only way to salvage this is if you end up with the #1 pick and you also manage to sign Okafor as a free agent.

Conley/Lowry
Miller/Crittenton
Gay/Miller
Beasley/Warrick
Okafor/Darko

That's a sweet lineup.

Im sorry Grizz fans i sympathize with you and feel your pain...But i think we all should now except that Grizzlies are a piece of Shii organization.

After today they become the scum of the league.

They gave away a star for NOTHING.

They are going to sell the team and they are trying to save money.

I feel for you fans...You guys are welcome on the Magic board!!

This trade is a **** joke!!

I can relate to how you guys feel right now considering we gave away VC for practically nothing.
