I tip my hat off to both teams....good deal on both sides although I wonder why the Grizz wanted J-Critt when they have Lowry and Conley....

hmmm, maybe Lowry can be tradeable

You would have imagine they would go after Okafor because they traded a big man for an expiring big man, unless we can draft Beasley, then it might be some Defensive stopper on the wing, then we can use that cap room to resign rudy.

Jerry West is an ass...

...good luck finding a new GM...

Jerry West with a pass off the backboard to himself, then a 360 windmill dunk jumping off from the three point line....

Where's pardon the interruption.

I told you so, that's all.

No, serious though, Gasol screwed you guys, it was evident that he didn't want to be part of the rebuilding situation. Dude wanted out and his play has suffered big time over the last 1.5 seasons because of it.

You guys still have, Conley, Gay and even Darko. Lowry and Jarvis too, it's not the end of the world. Another high pick in the draft as well, you guys will be fine. You just need some new owners who're willing to commit to the franchise.

Okafor and Iggy will ask for a max contract, and the Grizz doesn't have the cap space to sign them to an offer. If their interested to one of these players, they better act now by dealing one of their players for additional cap space.

If Jerry West is still the Grizz GM, I doubt he will do this deal even how attached he is to the Lakers. I remember a rumor last year of a PJ Brown, pick and either Gordon or Deng for Gasol in which West didn

My thoughts.

1. I can understand the whole getting under the cap business to attract the free agents. Severely I doubt the Grizz will attract them considering this trade has set the Grizz back at least 4 to 5 yrs.

2. Since this is a firesale and everything must go. Why didn't Heisley do this BS the year when Shane Battier was traded? At least at that point the Grizz would been throughly committed to the rebuilding process that year.

3. Heisley has proven to be an absolute idiot running the organization into the ground. You think the Grizzlies are having attendance problems now. The post aftermath will get worse for the Grizzlies.

4. Next on the roster. Find some better business minds who know how to run a bball franchise and who will not only be dedicated to running the ship, but at least will not run the organization into the ground.

5. Crazy way to start the future. They are the official abused stepchild of the NBA.

don't feel bad Grizz fans, it is a good news, think about it, you guys cannot do anything with Gasol.

With a guy cannot help you, you got back 2 first rounders, a above average rookie and a expiring contract.

You future is bright.

as for this deal:

Hiesley and Wallace:

1. Cut Salary
2. Got Picks...but not the best picks
3. Traded an unhappy player
4. Opened playing time to see if Warrick will make the cut.
5. Opened PT at the PF spot for Darko.

6. Just became the most hated people in Memphis.
