Bulls have offer from Bucks(via Thessaloniki)

Post#1 » by JOHN » Thu Jun 25, 2009 6:33 pm

Ok....this is coming from contacts that know Skiles here in Thessaloniki. In fact on of these two told me about Thabo Sefolosha months before the Swiss cheese player was introduced to the NBA scouting world where John Paxson and Ivica Dukan where going to Biella to see him in person.

The offer : Ridnour-Fransisco Elson and the 10th pick !!!!!!! for......thats right...... Kirk Hinrich.

I assume the Bulls will not want him in the division as an opponent.Of course this draft is so weak that the 10th pick is the same as the 20th.

I hope they send him to Portland for Outlaw.

Isn't Ridnour just Hinrich without the defense?

I mentioned all last year that Hinrich in Milwaukee makes sense for Ridnour.

Ridnour is an expiring. Elson has a player option next year of: $1,700,000.

This is a no brainer trade. Do it. I'd only do a Portland deal if we can't maneuver a way to get under the tax for Gordon. Worst case, we offer our 16th or another pick to Memphis to take Tim Thomas off our hands.

Getting the 10th pick gives us 1st dibs on Henderson/Johnson, or *if anyone drops*... cough Hill, etc.

We could easily package one of our other picks or even 16 to clear cap room.

Ridnour is a blow up doll on defense.

hmmm.. That is very intriguing. I'd probably do it because of that 10th pick, but do we still get to keep our 16th and 26th?

I doubt it. Seems like a bit much dont ya think. And plus, it seems unlikely that in a trade for a top 10 that we not trade our 16 or 26. But it would be great for us since we could make a Henderson and Blair and Daye Draft. Great Daye but I highly doubt it.

I'd prefer the Blazers trade. Either way, though. Grass is greener, etc.

Didn't Luke Ridnour get 500,000 all-star votes?

How does this help us get money for Ben Gordon?

If you're looking for talent in return for Hinrich, you'll be hard pressed to find a better deal than that. Ridnour would be a great backup point guard for a year, Elson is a big body who'll only cost $1.7 mil and the 10th pick will secure us Henderson or Williams (most likely) then we could take Blair, Mullens or Hansbrough at 16... all for basically what Hinrich would cost us (monetarily).

That trade offer works in Trade Checker - and I would do it for he 10th pick.

We can trade Luke after we find out about Ben

I would do this deal in a heartbeat. Can't really see Bulls getting any better offers

But this time he did it 5-10 lbs lighter, so in theory, it was quicker.

Having 3 picks in this draft, and gaining 2 more expirings...help with that Blockbuster we've been hoping for. I'd consider this, but I'd prefer raw capspace (or unguaranteed deals) from Portland.

If we take Henderson or Williams, we could potentially let Ben Walk. We could then take Blair whoever at 16 and Hopefully Daye falls to 26. However, I doubt this happens.
