Im guessing a lot of these young guys like TOR growing up ... its the VC factor, he was huge back then! He wasn't just the face of TOR but a poster boy for the NBA. So I'm not shocked if a lot of players when they were 10-15 liked TOR.

LOL. Anyway, it's not really surprising, I'm sure DD watched the Raps growing up as well. Remember, these kids were watching the NBA in Carter's hayday. Hell, we even had TMac. Opposing fans used to cheer for these guys on the road.
I'd say the majority of this board became basketball / Raps fans because of Carter and TMac.

Picture these kids at 10 yrs old. There was a team with a cool dinosaur name and with the most exciting player in the game. "Wince" was only used in the local media.

There's a difference between
Kevin Durant likes Toronto Raptors growing up
and
Kevin Durant liked Toronto Raptors growing up
Stay in school, kids. Or at least watch all the episodes of Sesame Street.

So you think there's a chance POR might draft KD over Oden? Seems like Oden is the consensus No. 1, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
