The practice squad has also been named; they are as follows:
* TE Darius Hill
* HB James Johnson
* S Corey Lynch
* DT Clinton McDonald
* FB Chris Pressley
* WR Maurice Purify
* OG Jason Shirley
* LB Dan Skuta
First of all, congratulations to Chris Pressley. For all the screen time he ended up getting on Hard Knocks, he played his way into a spot. The practice squad is not glamorous but it's a job in the NFL.
The only loss that's really going to hurt is Marvin White, who was claimed by the Dallas Cowboys. Cincinnati is also going with four running backs this year (Benson, Scott, Dorsey and Leonard) which is probably for the best given the unit's lack of proven experience.
The two players Cincy absolutely had to keep were Lynch and Shirley, who showed too much potential to be let go. (Shirley, in particular, appears to have taken to his switch the offensive line. He is a nasty human being to come up against.) Icness will no doubt be happy that ex-Grand Valley State LB Dan Skuta has made the squad, and the rest of the players I have no real problem with.
