I did a search on Google, there was a thread called "TheTHIEF" that had been deleted and another one similar to that which said I didn't have access to it. Hmm.

I remember those threads. He wrote long stories about trying out for the NBA. I was bummed when I found out it wasn't true. I think it was shortly before I started an account.

It was a fall from grace that Tiger Woods would be envy of. We made threads wishing him good luck every once in awhile and he was one of the most beloved posters at RealGM. Then we found out he was a fake and it all went downhill from there.

He said his name was Ronald Murray. The only Ronald Murray in professional basketball is Flip, and Flip isn't a 31 year old post defender with absolutely no previous professional basketball experience. Giving a name of a current player with a common name was logical, in that it would be damn hard to find about anyone called Ronald Murray given the way Flip dominates the searches. But given that it was blatantly fake from day 1 anyway, the name wasn't really the turning point.

Has he ever posted since he was exposed or did he disappear?
