dont bother with him

velocity drop + injury concern

braves have interest in nunez though, plus we know swisher is available

YEA, not sure I want any more braves pitching.. unless they are talking about Hansen. Jurgens has good stuff and if not for his injury concern you pull the trigger on this deal, I have been to several braves games when he started and he has a very live arm.. good stuff..

The reason why I like it for my Braves is because we have some young arms that are ready now. Overall, the team has great pitching depth, and management may prefer to not deal with Scott Boras during the future. Scott Boras represents Tommy Hansen as well.

I created the thread on the Braves forum: viewtopic.php?f=97&t=1137744

F@#k THAT. The Braves are used car salesmen...Think about past dealings: Jaret Wright, Javier Vasquez...that franchise is all about selling ya short.

The Braves have always done a masterful job of knowing when a pitcher is done. Swisher might be viewed as a big-ish offensive player but I'd imagine that if the Braves actually believed that Jurrgens has a real shot of returning to full form that it would take more than just Swisher and a utility infielder with pop and speed but shaky defense in Nunez.

Actually I'd do it (assuming Jurrgens still has a knee to stand on) and then turn around and try to package him and a prospect for one of the big name pitchers.

I think you can replace Swisher's offensive production via FA a whole lot easier than finding a top tier starting pitcher. Again...assuming Jurrgens is not being held together by a bandaid.

Yes, I'd beware of Braves pitching, a lot has to do with the coaching

Pass. Noesi was apparently hitting 98 mph in the Winter Leagues.
