Canes fell to Flames 6-7 last night. Good news is that Staal played well with 2 goals and 1 assist.

Boucher to the IR. Skinner was scratched last game, and today they say it was for an undisclosed injury. No word on when he returns.

Skinner and Pitkanen out indefinitely with concussions. Cannot play around with stuff like that. Keep Skinner out until he shows no symptoms and is fully healed.

Hey ohara who do think the Canes will be putting on the block now that your chances of making the playoffs are pretty much done.
I've heard Ruutu's name mentioned. Who else do you think might be on the block?

Mostly hearing Ruutu, Allen and Gleason. Some talk about Pitkanen also. Since the talk started about a firesale, the team is playing good hockey. Had an OT loss, then back to back wins. Not sure what the front office wants to do, but will be interesting to see it unfold.

Skinner has been out 15 games with a concusssion, but likely return on SAt. 1/14. Team has been dismal this season and is mired in the bottom 5 of the NHL. Have to see if his return helps get us rolling.

Great return for Skinner. Gets back, scores a goal the other night, and another one tonight. Getting back in the groove. You can tell the team seems to be playing better.

Team playing well headed into the Break. Traded Ponikorovsky to NJ for a 4th round pick and minor leaguer Joe Sova. Oh well, the fire sell begins.
