The gangly, athletic body, the awkward post moves which end with a successful, but ugly, hook shot, the decent occasional 12 foot jumper, the good footwork on defense and willingness to work hard and contest every shot in the paint. You can apply these things to both of them.

Video of Biz's performance vs the Raps is coming up, by the way.

So its not OKC we're emulating but the Nuggets.

BB-Mutumbo
Kemba-Nick Van Exel (I just like that comparison)
Hendo-Stith (good defender, who worked on his shooting to become a solid scorer)
DjA-Abdul Rauf (both sweet shooters, DJA developed a nervous tick when coached by Larry Brown...)
Diop-Priest Lauderdale (wouldn't be in the NBA if they weren't that big, I could still beat them in a 100 metre sprint)
Reggie Williams - Reggie Williams (Just the same name really)
Higgins-Darnell Mee (Got an NBA start as they had good size for a ball handling guard, but didn't last.)

While I'm having fun, digging up the past
Ammo-Tskitishvili (drafted high, both awful)

I can't really find a match for TT, was thinking Laphonso Ellis who had a reasonably underwhelming career after the some early hype, but his career was still a lot better than TT's. Rodney Rogers was a bit of a tweener, but still was more affective than TT.

Even more reason for me to hate him at the moment.

^post of the year.

I seriously believe that DJ's FG% would go up by at least 10% if he sported his goatee and refused to stand during National Anthems.

Watched his games, thought he plays bigger than he is. I thought he's a 6''10" or 6'11"

LOL, nice one sachmo. thats a pretty decent comparison for those players.

as for laphonso ellis, he was once one of my favorite players in the league at one time. his career was derailed by a couple of really nasty injuries. i dont remember the specifics, maybe a torn ACL and a torn Achilles or something along those lines, back when those injuries were career killers.

i still have arguments with a buddy of mine over ellis. i was a big ellis fan from his nuggets days and by buddy hated him because when ellis was with the hawks later in his career ellis apparent ratted jr rider out to the coaches for smoking weed in his hotel room (or that was the rumor).

so if we are the nuggets, is anthony davis going to be our mcdyess and get a devastating knee injury?

I'll be happy if BB is having 14 pt 15 rb 11 block games like Ibaka last night when he's 22.

Silas obviously went with Gana (puke) mainly over Biz last night I would assume because the opposing team had a legit 7 footer with length and offensive touch (Hibbert).

Does this mean he feels that Biz will struggle with the Hibberts/Boguts/Bynums/Lopezs etc of the NBA?

Have we decided if Biz is better suited to the PF or the C position - or is it way too early to tell?

Hibbert is 7'2". He's a goddamn monster. Nearly everyone is a little undersized against him.

i think Biz will be able to handle someone like that better after a couple years in the weight room. To guard a guy like that when you cant really challenge his shot well is to make sure he doesnt get the good position he wants. Fronting him would also be very effective with someone like Anthony Davis coming over to help as opposed to doris

I think obviously Biz will need to bulk up if he wants to sustain a long NBA career but as of now everyone is going to out muscle and over-tower him. Not only that, he is still very young and is still understanding the nuances of the game.

As for positioning, he to me describes what a real power forward is. I wouldn't want to pair him up with another 6"9 player in the front-court because it would be so undersized but he would complement centers and most tall power forwards out there (LaMarcus Aldridge, Amare Stoudamire). Detroit was eyeing him so bad because of that same reason. Him and Greg Monroe would make a great frontcourt tandem.

I'm not sure if it's being out muscled that's the problem. Pekovic is on a big man killing spree and Wolves fans have said Biyombo defended him better than any big man he faced. And Pekovic may arguably be the strongest player in the league at the moment.

For Biyombo I think he just needs to "learn" how to defend better. With Hibbert he needs to learn he can't give him good post position so easily.
Jeremy Lin, Jerryd Bayless, Bismack Biyombo, I believe.

biz quickly gets another shot at hibbert, unless silas goes brain dead again and gives diop 20 minutes again.

Biz has been killing it with his # of blocks lately. He is going to end up having a 10 block game this season if he continues to improve at the rate he has.
