There have been some pretty talented teams in the history of sports that didn't bring home the hardware, all because they lacked a good coach.

If anyone though, I'd say Durant, and that's about it.

Not a big fan of his. All he does is dunk. I was going to add Love to that list however i got some doubts.

Actually if I could do an 'edit' -- I'd take out Wade and add Blake due to age. IMO, in theory if a trade was made, we have our other star to pair with Rose for the next decade. I was considering Love but Love IMO would benefit if Thibs was here for his D, so it's a tough one, haha.

LOL. If you could add an All-Star caliber player for just a coach you do it in a second. Top 5 or so at his position, as long as it's not a point guard, you make this a championship winning team. That's more important than a coach. You can always go out and find another good coach. You can't, however, just cherry pick stars to add to a contending roster. I love Thibs but I'd give him up for all the names above including Kevin Love and Blake Griffin. Hell, there's probably near twenty guys I'd grab without even thinking about it. You wouldn't have much trouble finding someone else to coach that team if it added another superstar without subtracting from the roster.

Thibs is overrated imo. We have had good talent before but we Had vinny as coach. Who was horrible and who didn't have a clue what he was doing.

Even win a ring too doesn't mean he is a HOF, or I should say win a ring two shouldn't be establish in a HOF because the coach won a ring or two yes it will be nice for the coaches resume but still.

For instinct Jerry Sloan who is also a HELL of a coach, who is hall of famer(no complaint here.) and yet he didn't win a ring as a head coach.

Thibs is worth a young superstar to me, which is saying he has the highest value in the league, plus if you land Dwight you might lure a great coach anyways.

I also believe Thibs will grow tremendously as a head coach, which is really exciting to think about.
