What: 2012 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest
When: Feb. 25, 2012, 6:30 p.m. PT (3rd event)
Where: Amway Center in Orlando, FL
TV: All-Star Saturday Night coverage starts at 8 p.m. ET on TNT


The players will compete in the two-round competition with the top three finishers from the first round advancing to the finals. Five shooting stations will be set up around the three-point line, with four Official Spalding NBA game balls worth one point each and one Spalding NBA All-Star 2012 commemorative red, white and blue "money ball" worth two points at each location. Each player will have one minute to shoot as many balls as he can. In the final round, players will shoot in ascending order of first-round scores. At the discretion of the referee, television instant replay may be consulted for clarification of rules compliance.

James Jones with a slow start, but got hot and finished with the first round high of 22.

Where: Amway Center in Orlando, FL
TV: All-Star Saturday Night coverage starts at 8 p.m. ET on TNT


Four first time-participants -- Derrick Williams, Paul George, Jeremy Evans and Chase Budinger -- and a new format highlight the 2012 Sprite Slam Dunk.

A new format will be implemented for the 2012 competition. The contest will consist of only one round and each competitor will execute three dunks. Fan voting will open after all four players have completed their first dunk. Previously, the Sprite Slam Dunk contest consisted of two rounds, with the first round scored by a panel of judges which determined two finalists.

George should have attached some glow in the dark panels to the ball and got the rim to glow too. 2nd round was much better than the 1st outside of Budinger.

The 3 pt contest was more entertaining, and even that was pretty bad.

In general this allstar weekend has sucked big time.

Dunk Contest was awful. I don't get why more effort with the last round dunks weren't put in, I mean cmon, your representing the NBA because you can dunk. It was almost a joke. Overall, Paul George should've won imo. Evans did ok, his 2 ball dunk was solid but overally... this dunk contest, a huge dissapointment. I hope they get some big names for next years!
