Most Improved Bull?

Postby Bulls423 on Thu Mar 01, 2012 1:37 am

Was talking to a good friend about this tonight and we were going back and forth between CJ and Korver. CJ for his improvement learning the offense, becoming more efficient and taking better shots, etc. Korver for his overall improvement defensively and for being more physical and aware on both sides of the court. I'm guessing Joakim will be brought up but I think DRose is right when he says it's all confidence related for Jo. What does everyone think?

I say CJ Watson. I would also give Taj mention as he has developed a few killer post moves. Lastly I'd give Rose some due for his play making and increase in BBIQ. Korver has looked a lot better on D, but his shot has been all over the place despite his high percentage.

I say C.J.

It's not so much that he has improved his individual game, but as you said, he's learned how to run the offense more efficiently. He's always been able to shoot/score, but he's been a lot smarter about when and how to do it.

I will say Kyle is giving a ton of effort on the defensive end, but as Belinelli showed last night, effort just isn't enough sometimes. He continues to be a weak link defensively, and this is why it is necessary to keep Brewer around. Kyle obviously serves an offensive purpose that Ronnie couldn't dream of serving for us, though his shot seems to have gotten a decent amount better this year.

All in all, I'm very happy with the progress these guys have made, and everyone on the team seems to be buying into the team concept more than ever, which is so great to see!

CJ Watson=He have improve his passing ability, after his first year with the new system, he is more comfortable, and confident himself, the system, and his teammate.

Derrick Rose=He have improved his play making, his decisions, his defense have continue to improve, and with Boozer plus Noah he is improving and understanding the P&R.

Carlos Boozer=He have adjust to the offense while I think credit to Thibs who adjust some to the offense, he start shooting jumpers, he and Noah create the space to make it work for them. His effort on defense was better this season.

Kyle Korver=He do have his good moments on defense
Mark my words Kevin Love will be a Chicago Bulls later down the road!

Toss-up between CJ and Taj. Probably CJ because he's gone from being a relatively unreliable backup to a relatively reliable one. But Taj has really impressed me as well.

Well from last playoffs, it's Noah and CJ.

Noah was pretty lousy last playoffs. At the moment, he is starting to look like his former self.

CJ on the other hand is the guy who has improved overall.

CJ's his vision / adjustment to the system has kept pace. What seemed to be an improved Brewer shot was a bit shaky for a while there, but it seems to have regained its efficiency. Korver's D has improved dramatically. Boozer's D has improved, and his offensive game seems to be more fluid. I think Rose's vision has improved markedly.

It's tough; I think I might go:

CJ
Brewer

Rose
Boozer
Korver

I would say CJ because everyone else is pretty much the same.

To those who say TAJ what has he improved on. To me he always showed signs of a post game but isn't consistent and is a terrible finisher.

Boozer. On a team that has improved its offensive efficiency by leaps and bounds, he is a player who improved his own offense by leaps and bounds.

Those two things are not equal, but they are correlated. Part of it is an offense that is better at moving the ball, getting him in situations where he can succeed. Another part is his health.

I think his defense has gotten a little better, but it still sticks out when he has slower feet than everyone here pretty much.

They're looking at the last two games but not thinking about the earlier year games where he was a shadow of his 2011 self.
