How much would you offer for Dwight Howard?

Without an extension.
He might or might not resign.

So what would you give for the chance at resigning Howard and the ability to offer him a bigger/better contract than anyone else (or possibly a sign-and-trade for someone like Bynum).

Beasley + Webster + Miller + Utah 1st + Memphis 1st for unextended Dwight. Maybe add in Barea?

I'd say Pekovic is a must in a Dwight trade.

Unextended though?

If he were extended then in a heartbeat. But if he leaves this summer then we are out a potential HOF Center in Howard and a potentially very good one in Pekovic. Then we'd be back searching for a C & SG again. If Orlando needs a Center throw in Milicic. I guess we can hope that Howard wouldn't extend his opt-out for one more year and then sure Pekovic can go.

I think if we are able to trade for Dwight we'd have a better chance at keeping him then Orlando would. He wants to remain a #1 option. Kevin Love is excellently suited to be a #2. And with Rubio dishing assists Howard's numbers could be crazy good. Both Love, Williams, Johnson, Ridnour can all space the floor for Dwight. I don't think he'd fit better on any other team. Plus we'd be right up there with the championship contenders. Orlando has a winning record with Howard and pretty much nothing else, imagine if he were put on a team that seems to be pre-built around him. And on the glass we'd be unstoppable. Two best rebounders in the league.

Remember, Pekovic becomes an unrestricted free agent one year after Dwight does. So if Dwight walks we are basically only losing 1 year of Pek.

Of course, Pek would resign with us if we pay him enough. Dwight may or may not resign for the maximum.

This is probably the most idiotic post I have ever read. Honestly? Sorry if that is mean but its true.

You can trade Miller, Milicic, Randolph, Tolliver & Ellington for Howard, it works, and you wouldn't do it?

I really wish we had pulled off a Wes Johnson/Anthony Randolph/Martel Webster for Iggy trade in the off season. Then we could trade Pek and Williams for Dwight with a straight face and call it a contender.

Rubio
Iggy
Beasley
Love
Dwight

Even Dwight would have to stay for that lineup.

I'd offer anything that wasn't our core. After Love, Rubio, Williams, and Pek, I'd probably throw the kitchen sink at him....as long as we could get adequate pieces to round out the roster.

If we ended up with Dwight, I'd consider going as far as taking on one of ORL bad contracts...combine it with Derrick Williams...and flip them both to a 3rd team for a top notch wing.

The Wolves dont need to do it, and the cost would be way to much they would have to give one of Rubio, Love, or Williams and that's not gonna happen.

Twolves simply need to let their young core grow together, and supplement it with high character vets

How does that exactly work? Maybe in a video game :)

For an extended Dwight Howard, hell yes. For an unextended Dwight Howard, no. I don't care whom Kahn would throw in as salary fillers but I wouldn't want to part with both of Williams and Pek for an unextended Howard. Heck, I'd even have a hard time throwing one of them into a possible trade for a possible half season rental.

I'd love to have Howard on this team as it seems to be tailor-made for him and the thought of him pairing up with Love on the boards gives me a raging Bayno but gutting the team for a possible half season rental is not a good move. I'm all for cashing in Celtics style but we should end up having a set roster for a minimum of three years, post-cashing in.
