With Bogut out I can see GSW being in full tank mode for this season to keep this years pick in the lotto.

Curry, Lee, Bogut and a lottery pick is a nice core

Ya, I like the Lee/Bogut pairing.

Didn't even notice how they were on the fringe of losing their pick to the Jazz, wow.

If bogut manages to stay healthy then it's a win for GS, but since that's not gonna be the case, it's safe to say that both teams got worse. People thought a Curry/Monta backcourt was redundant, they're gonna get kick trying to watch Ellis and Jennings play together.

Whatever. The important thing about this trade is that now they've opened the floodgates. I expect a few more trades to be announced in the next 12 hours.

Bogut averages 65 games, id take 65 games of Bogut over a full season of Ellis.

I also think this trade has alot to do with the GSW 1st round pick as well because if they end up with a top 7 pick it's theirs in a stacked class. I still think GSW made out like bandits.

In 08/09 he played 36 games.

In 09/10 went down later in the season, missed the last 13 and the playoffs.

In 10/11 He played 65 games but he was far from healthy. He was literally playing with one arm and in return had his worst season offensively since his rookie year.

In 11/12 he's only played 12 games.

I really don't like this trade for either team, to be honest. However, if it makes the Bucks a lock for an 8th seed and kicks out the Knicks, I love it. Also, it gets rid of the chance of Jackson or Ellis to Orlando, not like I thought either would have made Dwight stay.

Anyway you slice it, this is a great trade for the Nets!

There's no way this deal can be terrible for Golden State.

Monta did nothing for them, in fact I would say he hurt them by stunting Curry and now Klay's growth and adding a handful of senseless wins every year while chucking his way to a ton of losses that didn't result in a top 5 draft pick over and over.

I don't think Monta was all that valuable either, it took them adding Udoh, who's recently shown promise and taking on a really bad contract to get a center who's great when healthy, but basically never is.

Both teams really got what they wanted in this.

I think the Bucks are trying hard to make Jennings stay by giving him a decent backcourt mate who can also create his own shot..... and the GSW got rid of their headache, and, like you said VC, got rid of the guy who created problems for their backcourt. I guess it's all in the eye-of-the-beholder.

Taking a gamble on Bogut is a pretty return for Ellis than most of the deals tat have been rumored. Injuries and all, I'd say he's a more useful piece than Ryan Anderson for that team. Plus it helps them tank this season and keep their pick.

Gery Woelfel @GeryWoelfel: Rockets had offered Scola, Dalembert and No. 1 pick plus other considerations for Bogut and Jackson.

I LOVE THIS TRADE FOR THE BUCKS!

The only thing better than one defenseless me-first volume shooting guard is two! Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis aren't going to let anyone else touch the ball this is FANTASTIC!!!

I can see the Bucks flipping Ellis for Lopez. This would turn out to be great for the Bucks, and essentially would turn Jax/Bogut for Udoh and Lopez. NJ does this further attract Howard and add another star to the roster.

Williams
Ellis
Brooks
Humphries
Howard

Ellis against Wade would be a terrible mismatch for us.

Lopez vs. Bosh and D12 vs. J.Anthony would create good mismatches for us.

I would feel so bad for Brook if he gets dealt to the Bucks.

Almost as bad as I would feel watching Ellis dealt here...
