Wow, I always figured you were one of those lifelong California hippies (or is it hippos? :D )

I always figured he was a douche, so growing up in Minnetonka makes sense.

At least I didn't grow up in Jerksville, USA :pityfool:

Back in '98 (age 11) we visited my uncle who lived in Tulsa. As a souvenir we were allowed to pick an NBA jersey from some mall. I chose a Garnett / Wolves Jersey because of the cool looks.

Took me until about 2001 to figure out the internet, but since then I've been able to follow them even in Germany :) I watched my first and only Wolves game 2010 in London against LA, but hope to watch another some time soon!

If it wasn't for the cool looking jerseys/logo & video games, this board would be half dead.

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try.

So basically you can see how that led to being a fan of the Wolves

interesting how many folks liked the jersey and became attached.

I started paying attention during garnett's rookie season. at that time, I was just as captivated by spud webb as KG, though...

Grew up in Mankato MN and have been a fan of the team since they came into existence. Hadn't followed them too closely in recent years because to be honest it wasn't worth my time. Now that the team is fun to watch again(especially when Rubio is out there) I'm watching whenever I can. Call me a bandwagon fan, but I don't care to watch if they're horrible. This season has been great though.

I grew up and live in the UK, but my girlfriend from 03-05 was from Minnesota. I was a big NBA fan already but didn't really follow a team, and I was a huge fan of KG's game since the day he was drafted anyway so I just went with the Minnesota theme. Even after breaking up when she went home I still rooted for the Wolves. It became kind of a sentimental thing I guess. :(

Like a couple others here, I saw the Wolves live for the first time in London vs. LA, October 2010.

2003-2004 season. Playoffs. I was introduced at the cusp of our success. Ever since then I've stuck it through. This is the first legitimate season I've been able to enjoy!

I have grown up in the Twin Cities so have been fortunate enough to have the wolves in front of me for most of my life. Based on that, the two moments that I remember as the moments I knew this was my team...
1. Wolves beat Bulls, December 30 1998. For a ten year old, seeing Da Kids knock off Jordan and Company was huge. http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CHI/1998.html
Video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TsW92vKpyA

2. Wolves beat Sacramento (and Adelman) to go to Western Conference Finals. This was the first (and only :( ) real playoff run for the Wolves. Fantastic series.
