Debut of Alex Gordon and the new school Royals.

New ace Gilbert Meche shows a nice performance in the 1st despite 1 run in.

As a Yankee fan, Lets go Royals.

Gload leaves the runners on base.

Not bad start for KC though, getting Curt exhausted on his pitch count. Will help later on, as Bos doesnt have too strong of a bullpen.

Nice triple by Pena Jr to open up the Royals scoring chances.

Grudz gets the Royals a 2-1 lead.

Grudz is shaping up to be nearing that .300 mark he had when with the Cards 2-3 years back.

The Cardinals should have Showed Grudzy the Money instead of letting him get away.

Let's Go Royals!!! I want to see an opening-day beatdown of Schilling and the Yankees Lite, I mean Red Sox.

I had no clue on Peralta honestly....he came from out of nowhere.

And wow this Royal team does have some promise. Again I am mostly a Yankee fan but the KC Royals have so many guys I like. Grudz who like me Polish, Gordon Shealy, Hochevar(When he comes up) along with a few other guys has me rooting for this underdog team.

Do I think the Royals pull a Tigers of 06? Doubt it but I cant see why this team cant win at least past 75 games which is a HUGE improvement.

Pena Jr. and Peralta both impressed. We'll see if KC can keep it up.

I think the Royals are getting there. But I think the Tigers 06 is a goal that can't happen. I just don't think the Royals have the pitching to get it done.

I was wondering, when was the last time KC was above .500?

Im a fan of KC... I really like what Dayton Moore has started to do here.

Was also a big fan of the Meche signing... all he needs to do is repeat his Opening Day performance 31 more times and I will gloat, oh so much :D

Not bad start for KC to get tired of Curt's pitch count. Will help later when Bos was not too much Bullpen.
