Is it just me or...(Mike Breen)

i've never heard breen's voice like that, but of course he's a knick hater

Normally Breen doesn't bother me, but today he was VERY obnoxious.

I have to admit, Breen was annoying in his criticism of Melo's shot selection today. He wouldn't back down even when JVG was bringing up good points. It's not as if Melo was forcing up bad shots the majority of the game. If that were the case then I would give Breen a pass. It just seem like silly knit picking on his part.

he might not always say the thing the extreme homers want to hear but he is a Knick fan that has been thru the same heartbreak that we have gone thru

his voice was filled with emotion when he made this call ala Howie Rose, Gary Cohen, John Sterling, Sam Rosen etc, guys that are true fans of the team they call the games for

There is a distinction between breens call of the actual game and his own personal color commentary. The former is always excellent but the latter I believe is filled with a subjective disposition that is certainly biased against melo. I don't believe it's malicious but I certainly believe it exists.

I've really grown to dislike the guy.

melo takes a jumper in game 3 and battier lands on his foot, causing him to fall down, as a result is late getting back on defense. breen eats him alive for not getting back.

game 4 lebron misses a 3 and just stands there after missing it allowing melo to get a tranistion and 1... not a peep from breen about it.

the guy is horrible.

knicks had 1 sec on the shot clock and got a nice pass underneath to melo who gets it off right away to beat the shot clock... breen insinuates with his words as well as his tone that it should have been a SC violation. he's ridiculously annoying.
