It's really tough- part of me wants to say the typical "if we dont win tonight, last nights win means nothing"--

But let's be honest, last nights win was HUGE. I am so pleased with this team. I want this win real bad, but if we stay competitive and come up just short I won't really have any problems.

However, I like our chances in this one. I think the veterans realize that if we just win these next 5-7 games they can have a nice rest before the playoffs; and are playing with a great urgency

LETS DO IT

Should get this win as well and go 10 over .500. This team has been pretty close to amazing since the all-star game. pumped.

Hawks are thinking of switching it up & going big (Kirk Hinrich to bench).
1- Jeff Teague - Rajon Rondo
2- Joe Johnson - Avery Bradley
3- Josh Smith - Paul Pierce
4- Ivan Johnson - Brandon Bass
5- Zaza Pachulia - Kevin Garnett

Thoughts on Boston's matchup advantages here?

This is going to be a very tough game. Atlanta has been off for 3 days and waiting in Boston while the Celtics were in Miami. The Hawks are going to have very fresh legs. Celtics are playing extremely well right now and are at home so should be a good game. Doc Rivers might have to go deeper into the bench for this game. I think this game is 50/50 hopefully they can keep it going. Lets Go Celtics !!!! :D

Boston is favored to win by 3 points.

As usual it should be a good game.

I'm expecting a close game and a win, I would like to see The Big 3 rest a bit, Rondo too.

I somehow feel it may be hard, given this is our fourth in five nights. That being said, this win would keep building the tower that is momentum and the hopes of fans. Let's hope they bring it after an effort game in Miami.

Celtics are 6-0 on back to backs at home on the second game so i'm not worried. Coming off that huge win I expect big nights from KG, rondo and bradley. I think Bradley will have a big game depending on the lineup situation.

They better have Hinrich come off the bench or Avery's going to wipe his ass with his face. Harry Potter doesn't have enough magic to stop Avery tonight.

i think atlanta leads for most part of the game before boston makes a run and wins by 6 or 7 points, the bench and avery has a big game, i think they win tonight and the back-back-back games and is 3rd in the east by next week

this is a complete trap game- coming home after a huge road win. It's hard to see us shooting that well again so I think there will be drop off from last night. If we're still in a groove then it will become a question on endurance and whether we have any legs left in the 4th qtr. I think doc needs to play his bench a lot and hope that he can keep kg pierce and rondo fresh for a push in the 4th qtr

4th game in 5 nights. It would be great if they can sustain their defensive energy.

These two teams don't like each other so it should be fun. This won't be a tickle fight.

Tough act to follow after last nights game. I assume they got in to Boston after 2 AM this morning. We will see how much they have left. The bench needs to play well for them to get the win. Doc has done a great job managing minutes and with a three game lead and three games in three nights staring Friday (luckily they are playing weak teams) it wouldn't be the worst thing to pull a Popovich and rest some guys.

Trap. I won't be pissed with a loss, just annoyed by the expected reactionaries...

keep zasha w/e his name is out of the glass, contain dribble attacks form Pargo/hinrich, and let Smith shoot from outside...JJ will do his thing but not reason to lose to this team except tired legs

Like I said before, if the Celtics win tonight it might be more impressive then the win against Miami last night. The Hawks a more athletic team has had 3 days off and have been waiting in Boston while the Celtics were flying back from Miami. The Hawks are going to have real fresh legs tonight. Going to be tough.

Return to Boston Celtics
