Anybody saw this guy played? I only watched some highlights but this kid looks really good. Anybody knows who he compares to?

A worse Stephen Curry. Better D, and speed though.

He is nothing like Curry, unless you want to count scoring output. Lilliard is as athletic as they come (not a Rose type athlete, but still way above the norm for an NBA point guard). He can get into the lane at will and he can finish with contact. He's also a very good shooter, but his jump shot is a bit unorthodox with a lowish release. My only concern is mental toughness, from seeing him in person - if he gets frustrated he can just be terrible, but at the same time he can dominate any game at any time.

His shooting is a step below Curry as is his playmaking. As a rookie PG he will struggle to get to the line and shoot more. Just look at Kyrie to see what happens to college slashers that aren't 6-3.5 191 with great handles (like Kyrie). He's too short to not become a jump shooter ala Stephen Curry.

I don't get it, he's too short to not become a jumpshooter? WTF does that even mean?

On a side note, his shooting form is just gross and awkward. Hard to look at even.
It looks like a lefty with a push shot, but he shoots righty. Weird.

Really quick and athletic, jump shot goes in but looks weird, has lots of potential on both sides of the ball. After Anthony Davis he seems the easiest one to predict, he should go to Utah at around 10.

Personally I'm not blown away by him as a prospect. He barely had a chance to face the top PGs in college and in the NBA there is a glut of great PGs. Lillard may turn out solid but it would shock me.

I made this clip package from a game on youtube if you're interested

Maybe it's just the game or the angle, but he really didn't look like a PG to me. More like a Mayo/Crawford type separate and shoot player

Lillard is the most legit PG prospect in this draft. He is legit offensively and better than Marshall who may be legit offensively but not so much defensively. Tu Holloway is the most underrated PG prospect in this draft not Machado by the way.

i think his game resembles Lou Williams. He doesn't look like a true point guard.

He is not a PG in any sense of the word. He is a SG in a PG body. His best case scenerio would be a Ben Gordon/Stuckey type player.

I actually see him as more of a Charles Jenkins with more athleticism. Ultra-efficient in college, which has some merit translating to the NBA as far as shot selection and BBIQ, highly skilled, and very crafty in how he gets to his spots. If you recall Eric Maynor's career as well (same with Jenkins), in college he was much more scoring oriented due to being at a small school and being the marquee guy but both Maynor and Jenkins have turned out to be very solid point guards in the league despite neither being as explosive or athletic as Lillard. I don't expect him to be a top 5 point guard, but I think he will see a good bit of success in the league.
