Agreed. Based on what Shawn Marion and Caron Butler are making,

I think 40 mil for 5 might be good enough.

Your smoking crack. If you think Marion or Butler is on Wallace's level, well you are way off. Wallace is the NBA's leading rebounder at SF. Dude is all hustle, kinda like Dudley with more size and on 'roids.

The situations for both players are actually VERY similar.
So when Marion hit the fa at the age of 31, he was averaging 14-9 for 2 years.
Wallace is gonna turn 30 very soon and has been averaging 15-7 for last 2 years.
Defensively both of them are very good.

And they both got traded twice in 2 years.

Marion got 40 for 5. Wallace is gonna get something close to that, not 4 years 50 milion.

Durant, James, Marion are all averaging more rebounds than Wallace BTW.

I like Wallace but not at that price.... though perhaps if he is the only FA (other than our own) we get, we can front load the crap out of his deal. Something similar to Colllison's contract.

Also, I think the new CBA limits new teams to a 4 yr deal. The 'retaining' team can offer 5.

Is that in order of importance? Because we can't do one or two until three is completed. :D

“Just from what I see around the NBA, there’s a lot of teams that look forward to having me,” Ray Allen told Murphy. “I just want to be somewhere where I’m valued, cherished and I can go out and play.”

Walker has no place in the bench though...

Dudley and Brown are already playing his role.... the Suns need STARTER level SG/SF who can score 20ppg or close to.

I like Ray Allen, but his defense has gotten worse every year recently.

Nash-Allen would be the worst defensive backcourt.

Allen, at this stage, would be Raja Bell without his defensive presensce...

I thought 1Upz and LCB were the same person?

Geez, you need a scorecard around here.

Way I see it we need a scoring and defensively solid PF. Who does that sound like, of the available?

Kevin Garnett, Boston Celtics – $21.2 million – Unrestricted
Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs – $21.2 million – Unrestricted
Michael Beasley, Minnesota Timberwolves – $6.3 million – Restricted ($8.2 million Qualifying Offer)
Brandon Bass, Boston Celtics – $4.3 million – Player Option ($4.3 million)

Jason Maxiell, Detroit Pistons – $5.0 million – Player Option ($5.0 million)
Jordan Hill, L.A. Lakers – $2.9 million – Unrestricted*
Craig Brackins, Phildelphia 76ers – $1.4 million – Unrestricted*
Chris Johnson, New Orleans Hornets – $0.8 million – Unrestricted
Derrick Caracter, L.A. Lakers – $0.8 million – Unrestricted
Brian Cook, Washington Wizards – $1.3 million – Unrestricted
Ian Mahinmi, Dallas Mavericks – $0.9 million – Unrestricted

Jared Jeffries, New York Knicks – $1.2 million – Unrestricted
Francisco Elson, Philadelphia 76ers – $0.9 million – Unrestricted

Jeremy Evans, Utah Jazz – $0.8 million – Unrestricted*
Lance Thomas, New Orleans Hornets – $0.5 million – Unrestricted*
Ryan Reid, Oklahoma City Thunder – $0.5 million – Unrestricted

you may laugh at my inclusion of Macklin, but I like the guy's game since college. Sam as HWhiteside, just needs a different team.
Reggie Evans can't score but - the way to run is to get the rebound, and he does that. Put AR on one wing as a finisher and Evans on the other - get the ball to Nash and stand back.

Trade Lopez and bring Sweet Lou in as our backup center, with Frye on the wing with him.

JVC, we don't need to trade Lopez for Lou, they're both FAs. We could just sign Lou. But if we did that, it would mean we either start Morris, or trade him.

Although, earlier this season we tried a Morris and Frye front court, and they didn't do poorly. It would be an intersting group with maybe a drive and dish backup point.

Sign Allen/Garnett/Wallace for our starting lineup. Keep Nash/Hill/Redd in free agency. Amnesty Childress. Trade Warrick and our 1st to Cleveland for cap space. Sign Bayless/Lou for bench.
Nash/Allen/Wallace/Garnett/Gortat
Bayless/Dudley/Hill/Morris/Frye +Redd/Amundson Telfair is our 13th guy.

Not what I meant - sign and trade Lopez for someone else, or let him go period. Bring in Sweet Lou as FA

Daniel Orton with another good game for Orlando. I really like to pick him up as a backup next season.
