In all Honesty, I believe this is apart of the marketing strategy and another "hint"

I believe the letters with the tape is prototype and won't be apart of the logo, but the black and white ball will since it does not have tape to it. So essentially we have the shield and the ball....okay im done speculating, gonna wait. but I expect more "leaks".

I really don't hate it.

Simple is good, and honestly....I think we might have too high of expectations for a new logo.

It's just a logo, how good can it really be?

I must admit that the logo is starting to grow on me a bit. It's still not great, but it's not bad either. If they put the word Brooklyn through the ball or on top of the shield, it would look absolutely sick though.

However, I just had a thought...
The Thunder have the plain logo on their shorts, but on many of their hats, they have a full logo with the word Thunder across the top. The shield that we have looks pretty dumb by itself on a hat, but if you add Brooklyn across the top of the shield and remove the B from the basketball, it would look really nice. I bet that the shield we've seen so far is the one that goes on shorts, not the one that will be the main marketed logo and the one that goes on hats and other merchandise.

Woke up today and still don't like the logo.

Everytime I look at it, this is my reaction....

I took the BlueDawn image and just added a Brooklyn because I believe there has to be Brooklyn somewhere on the logo, thats the main selling point and brand on the whole franchise, not Nets but Brooklyn. Anyway I realise it looks crap but just did it in 5 mins to try and add Brooklyn above the current leaked logo to see how it looks.

Again I stress, 5 min job

As I thought, if they just put Brooklyn on top of the shield in the same color and font and remove the B from the ball, it looks so good imo. They need to do that asap.

To be serious, those jerseys look really good. I guess the only minor issue is that they're grey rather than black, but they'd look just as good as good, if not better than the grey ones.
