Big question. Adidas is standing by watching their big man take all kinds of slings and arrows right now. They need to think about nudging him toward a big city that can actually win to help salvage his Q rating. It should be a fluid situation given Dwight Howard's sinking image.

I think his image is all but done. He may salvage some love from fickle fans if he becomes a champion though. I always thought LeBron would be the most hated guy in the NBA until he retires (note that I don't hate LeBron), but I now see Howard giving him a good run for his money.

That plus, back injuries(surgeries) for a big man might take away his biggest strength of athleticism(for a big man). He has never been a good jumpshooter or FT shooter. This injury might impact his strengths and his weaknesses get more exposed.
Maybe Adidas has a opt-out clause for an injury. That might give them the chance to use that as they might be seeing his attitude anyhow take the market down for his shoes.

In that case, why wouldn't they just push him to Miami (Bosh for Dwight straight up) and then dominate for the next decade?

Why would the Magic want that to happen?

Not to mention, he will be out shined there by Wade and LeBron... and probably more hated than he is now. It probably couldn't get any worse for his pr than going to Miami.

We wouldn't want him anyways. If we're trading Bosh we would deal with a team like the Rockets, who can give us a package of players to compliment Wade and Lebron. One of their point guards, and Dalembert would be the deal. Maybe if we add some more contracts we can get Scola too but that would be the team we would deal with.
And no we're not basing this off the recent report, in our board we've been talking about the Rockets and Bosh 2 weeks ago. Wouldn't shock me if that loser read some threads and made his headline based off that.
Riley has already dealt with an ego like Dwight once, he's not going to deal with it again. Dwight is a prick.

I think the problem for Howard was playing for a hardass basketball lifer like Van Gundy. If he comes here with a players' coach like Thibodeau, he can take some defensive possessions off and rediscover his love of the game.

Thibs is a hardass. Maybe a bigger hardass than SVG
Thibs never takes defensive possesions off.

Haha, is there anyone more of a hardass than Thibs?

No, I think Thibodeau has gone on record as saying that, while winning is important, he wants to help teach his players to love what they do and become more well-rounded individuals off the court.
(I'm kidding. Obviously Thibs is the one coach in the league who's more single-minded about basketball than SVG -- and whom Howard might learn to hate even more.)

If he was smart, he would've had the Bulls on his list a long time ago. Instead he wound up opting into his contract and stepping on the same steaming pile of **** he left for SVG to step in.
Wait - are you saying Dwight doesn't want to come to Chicago????
Crazy talk.

A hyperbolic chamber is a Realgm postgame thread.
A hyperbaric chamber will help Bulls players get stronger.

Funny thing, SVG actually had the Magic as the 3rd seed for a decent chunk of the season. The team was playing well above expectations. The trade stuff I think eventually killed the team.
SVG is a good coach, not sure why Dwight would want him fired. Then again, Dwight did want Otis to sign Big Baby Davis and trade for Gilbert Arenas, so it's pretty clear he doesn't have a future in general managing or as a jeopardy contestant.
I'm not sure Dwight wouldn't or would work under Thibs. This is starting to remind of the Melodrama last year. People said Melo couldn't work under a hard ass defensive coach like Thibs, yet Melo's played his best ball of the year under a hard ass defensive coach in Mike Woodson, and he's actually got him interested in defense. How long it last who knows, but it just seems Dwight needs to get out of Orlando and Orlando needs to get out of Dwight.
