We've got no chance if we can't get a call. If every call goes for Miami--we're going to lose by a lot of points.

And how bout when they go to the paint, get set for the charge too!

And when they foul you, flop like crazy. I know we don't flop, but if we are to have any chance, we have to play dirty like them.

We don't need to flop. WE NEED TO TAKE THEM OUT.

Make sure fouls won't look bad because they flopped but because they were really hard.

Without Jeremy Lin, he is not going to get any easy baskets against the Heat. The guards we have and the way the Heat defend the paint, he either will have to adjust or we have no chance. Nobody is ignoring anything, thats just reality. If he cant adjust and work on a simply floater right in front of the hoop, then this guy is not going to help bring a title to any team, as a starter, never.

Even with Lin , he couldn't get easy buckets besides those few wrap around passes. But Lin wasn't that good of a play maker.

What was hard? They flopped on pu$$y contact. If I put my forearm on you, you don't go flying to the ground unless I am 100 pounds heavier than you. <----- Referring to the Melo foul(besides the 100 pound stuff) when he was trying to get separation so he put his arm on lebron and his bitc* a$$ flopped.

I will watch but if we get shafted by the refs again Im turning it off and ignoring the rest of the series. With Shump gone, we have absolutely no one to check Wade. Add to that, Amare is clearly one of the dumbest players in the NBA, and Woodson made ZERO adjustments on offense, looking just like the coach whose ATL teams habitually got bodied on the road in the playoffs. Mission impossible at this point.

STAT is my biggest concern though. He has ZILCH post up moves, and always tries to force a layup or dunk on every iso position. Plus he never rebounds consistently, never boxes out, and is a horrifyingly bad defender. This series is where he was supposed to really earn his paycheck. I need to see 100% improvement in Game 2.

Even though Fields probably will start, JR should.

We need to spread the floor.

If JR starts, there is no bench scoring besides Novak and maybe Landry(visa versa). smh What to do what to do.

JR might be the only option at this point

Play him for 38, hope the stupid fouls don't show up.

I don't even recall Miami even contesting our jumpers or our guard penetration.

You said this series is still up in the air for either team to take, but youre telling me to relax lol....this aint the movie Rudy, b. What happened in Game 1 that suggested we have a shot at winning more than one game? Explain that to me.

is this really what the nba has turned into? it would be sweet if we can get a "flopper, flopper" chant at MSG every time lebron or wade went to the line. please Garden, make it happen.

Hate to say this but IMO, this series is over. There's nothing the Knicks can do to counter what we witnessed yesterday. If the officials called it that lopsided for game 1 of a rivalry that has history, then they've already decided the outcome. The refs wanted to send a message to us just as badly as the Heat did when they let Wade pour it on late in the game. As Knick fans we didn't deserve that.

We were a top defensive team this season despite all the praise ESPN gave Miami for it's defensive prowess

We boasted one of the best W/L % to close the season, we were riding serious momentum into the playoffs

Our bench has played very cohesive and with a lot of energy this season something we absolutely needed for a long series

We have a DPOY candidate (and reigning NBA Champ), the leagues leading 3pt shooter (Novak) and a hard-nosed, ball-hawking rookie defender (Shumpert)

We have a coach that has the guys playing both offense and defense

We have a superstar (Melo) who is finally showing he can play on both sides of the ball and (surprising to me) taking the leadership role. He ended the season winning Player of the Month honors

...And all of that was stripped in one half. No rhyme, reason or explanation why the officiating in the PLAYOFFS was so lopsided. No explanation why normally teams gear up for the playoffs by playing hard, physical basketball but suddenly this game gets officiated the way LeBron dictates - like High School theater. This is what the officials think of the Knicks when the score is about even in the 1s half? They assist the opposing team by rewarding Oscar worthy performances from the biggest, strongest, quickest, most athletic SF in the game? They were the #2 seed in the East! They have 2 of the top 5 players in the league. They have THE MOST DOMINATING SF of all time (arguably the most dominating force ever) and he's given a helping hand against a #7 seed? The refs are treating this series as if it should be a rest for the Heat's next series. Wade hardly did any damage and by the time he did, LeBron was given the rest of the night off. That's the most ridiculous thing I could imagine and if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I'd never believe it could be true.

Sure next game LeBron may not get many, or any of the calls he got this game. BUT that won't change the outcome because the fortuitous calls will be given to Wade. Game 3 we'll pull out a W just to please the home crowd and just so the officials don't look like they are fully committed to wearing a Heat uniform yet, but if by some miracle this were to make it to a game 7, today's performance let's you know what the officials think of the Knicks aggressiveness/defense vs the Heat aggressiveness/defense. We are outmatched. Any wins from this point will be a gift from the officials as sad as it sounds.
Diggity Dave -

Honestly, I can't think of any better punishment than for the league to force the Heat to play Pittman major minutes. Otherwise, they may as well suspend the water cooler for 10 games.

I hope we can get some good LeBron chants going at MSG for games 3 and 4. Maybe "flopping pussy!" or "gloria west!"

How does saying relax, contradict me saying the series is still in the air for anyone to take?

And it is a long series. One game doesn't mean you lost the series. And what I saw was that we were in the game till the refs went ape shi* on us. That being said, we can still take this series, we just can't let the refs dictate the series.

Great post BBALLER4FR. You summed it up perfectly. Perfectly.

We would have to play an A game to beat the Heat but the way the refs called that game, it shows that they were determined to avoid us winning the game even if we played really well. It was the most shocking half of officiating I've ever seen.

The Knicks unraveled. But in part that was because they had the refs denying us any chance of competing on a level playing field. It was a joke.

I paused the game when we were down by 3, and ledouche was going to take free throws. I had it paused for about a half and hour or so. I fast forwarded till I caught up and saw that we were down 36 points. smh these refs took any momentum we were building in that game.

My hate for LeBron before Game 1 started to simmer down but after yesterday it all came back x 2047563737.

I view the NBA differently after yesterday's debacle. Just a shame at what this professional sport has turned into.
