Four of those years he was knocked out by Tim Duncan's Spurs and Kobe/Gasol's Lakers, two of the most dominant teams in the past how many years. There aren't many teams that have been able to top them in the past decade.

IMO, he would have made it out to the WCF more than once if the Denver FO were smart enough to hook him up with a legit low-post threat, rather than those faux "centers" they had in Nene and Kmart.

Early in his career he was also knocked out by a really good Wolves and Clippers team. One of those years, I believe Kmart was injured and the Nuggets had 0 shooters. And you should mention Camby when speaking of centers (Nene was actually good when healthy), he was a joke. Total stat stuffer, didn't actually help Denver's defense, and he would knock down team mates going for rebounds.

You should probably watch his playoff games instead of grading his postseasons solely on stats.

Complete difference.

i saw an expensive player not give 100% on defense once his offense was thwarted.

if it happens again tonight it will get ugly for this franchise.

Can you name me the series he was supposed to win with the teams he had.

There aren't many.

It happened from time to time in the postseason, definitely, and I agree, that is a very poor flaw.

He did, however, have that defense when it counted the most. Take his run to the WCF for example.

If you watch him now (post Woodson), the defensive intensity has picked up by a very significant margin, I'm sure we agree on this.

Melo has to step up then.

The whole freaking team has to step it up, not just Melo, 5 players on are the court any given time, they all have to put the BS of Game 1 behind them and put that **** Heat team away. And If Leflop pulls that stunt again, I will personally reach thru the TV Set, and slap the living crap out of him.
