He's already a better offensive talent than DeAndre.

Names that were once-upon-a-time thrown around the Wiz Board were Larry Nance and Tyson Chandler, probably a poor man's version of those two.

He'll never get there though. He's dumber than a sack of spanners. Its quite a relief that we dont have to watch him completely fail on the defensive end anymore. We'd watch him fail on rotations, bite on every pump fake, and swat away shots that were easy goal tending calls alll the while fooling ourselves that "he's gonna turn it around! Just look how high he can jump! Did i mention he's 7'1"!!" Good luck Denver or whoever signs this clown.

Not convinced hes better offensively, hes more willing to chuck but hes so inefficient that it doesnt help his team. I would rather have a player who understands his limitations and focuses on his finishing ability than a guy willing to try anything and cost his team valuable possessions.

He's got a great sweeping hook shot that he brings out from time to time and shows good touch with it. For about an 8 game stretch early in the season he showed he could score down low and was even hitting elbow jumpers. And he was doing all that without many WTF moments.

From what ive seen he can better than DeAndre on that end of the floor when he is focused. Its keeping him focused on basketball (on and off the court) that will be a challenge for whichever coach he is playing for in the future. I think if he gets severely lowballed and has to sign on for crap money it might be enough of a kick in the pants for him that he realises he needs to learn the game properly. That McGee will be a scary McGee and the Wiz will look stupid for trading him. But its pretty unlikely to happen, someone will throw cash at him on potential alone and he'll stay oblivious to how much he actually sucks.

He's such an interesting case. He's easily better than DeAndre Jordan (yes. he. is.). He's much more athletic than Hibbert/Bogut/Gortat. Yet...he's certainly not going to be Dwight Howard. Javale McGee is his own player. Can't really compare him to any recent guys.

Camby is a decent comp for ceiling. McGee might mature and get to Camby's level but his raw numbers will probably always overstate his value, particularly defensively.
