Actually Smokey it's not much of a stretch at all. NO ONE here knows what was said in that locker room. NO ONE! If Woodson tore into Amare about his atrocious defense/lack of rebounding, or if another coach referred to it, or if a teammate called Amare out on it, sure, it's quite possible an emotional basket case such as Amare would punch the glass and use that as a convenient excuse to avoid becoming a bench player.

A player emotionally bankrupt enough to punch an inanimate object out of anger is equally capable of "evading responsibility."

How do we know someone didn't burst into the lockeroom with a gun and say "Amare, if you don't break this glass with your hand, I'll kill your whole family!"

Can't blame Amar'e for punching something. Sometimes you just get so angry and there is nothing you can do, so you take it out on a inaniment object. Is it smart? Your crazy if you think that just because he has more responsibility and makes more money than us, that he doesn't get to feel. He wasn't thinking "I wanna let down my fans, hurt my career, let my team down, etc. He wasn't thinking anything. He was feeling helpless, lost, and upset about something bad that was happening to him, that he felt he couldn't stop.

Remember Melo and STAT believe they are as good as Wade and LeBron. Right now they are getting a harsh reality check, finding out they're not.

Dude, you're going too far. Seriously it's enough now. I'm disgusted by how piss poor Stat has been this whole year. I'm disgusted by his contract. I'm disgusted by his stupidity last night. However, to accuse a guy of injuring himself bad enough to where he needed stitches to avoid being benched or as a response to criticism is beyond the pale and quite honestly implausible. It's especially implausible when said player has a bulging disk in his back that very easily could "bother" him again if he wanted to bitch out of playing.
