Lin is trying to rush back but I really don't think he can do that much in a playoff game against the Heat. More importantly, we don't want him to reinjure himself. Also if we're able to steal one game, there's a chance we can see Lin in game5. Let's wait and see how things are going.
Anyway, here's some other things we can talk about.
http://corycha.tumblr.com/"My sister’s been fighting cancer and overall has been incredibly optimistic, determined to get through everything. For the past few weeks though she’s been in excruciating pain after getting surgery and she needed a pick-me-up. Despite his busy schedule and new popularity, Jeremy Lin sent a video to her! We couldn’t be more thankful! It really gave her the encouragement she needed. "

Jeremy Lin's injury stats has been updated to 'day to day'.
He's not ready for game 3 come Thursday (tonight) but hopes for an ESPN game 4 return to the Knicks starting lineup come Sunday.
All I know is this, if the Knicks take game 3, with Jeremy Lin returning for a game 4 inside of Madison Square Garden? With a chance to tie the series up at 2-2?
I can't imagine.

That's a great story, Jeremy really does come across as an incredibly kind person.
From the ESPN updates, it seems he really is getting better and is not just being forced to train through pain. I'm still wary but if he feels he can play, it would be great to seem him come off the bench for a Game 4 (or 5 if we get that far).

I hope he comes back for game 4, and whether we get swept or not at least put up a good fight with him, Melo and Amare out there all doing there thing, so we can go into the offseason on a somewhat positive note for next year.

The expectation from Lin to somehow perform well in his first playoff game, having just recovered from injury, and playing against the best team in the NBA, one that shut him down the last time they met......it's amazing that there are any expectations at all.

Although I agree with not stickying this (after his injury, it was just a home for trolls).
Exactly. Which is the EXACT reason why you sticky the Jeremy Lin thread. Gives the "trolls" or just the fans of Jeremy Lin a place to talk about EVERYTHING Jeremy Lin related. How you, as a mod fail to see that is beyond me. How any mod, poster, fan etc, etc has failed to see the importance of a Jeremy Lin thread is beyond me.
But instead? I guess having the trolls troll other thread in order to talk about Jeremy Lin is ok and/or just continue to start Lin threads like wild fire.
Nothing against the mods, you all do a strong job of running this crazy place, but if you can't see the importance of a Jeremy Lin thread being at the top as a sticky, something is wrong here. 3 previous Jeremy Lin threads all went 100+ pages. That's proof in itself.
It's not happening...and I'm done talking about it. If the mods feel it is necessary, then we'll sticky it. If not, oh well.
I think he deserves to be treated like the other players on the board. If people want to make a bunch of threads about him (like Amare recently...) then so be it.

What's sad to me is that we could have had them BOTH. Harvard learning from one of the GOAT.
Now we have Fat learning from Drunk.

Unfortunately our god Lin is still resting and not yet ready to reclaim his place at the head of the MSG throne in game 4.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/wi ... &#commentsIt looks as though our scrubs will need to win a few games before he can reemerge and bless us with his transcendental talent once again but the task is seemingly insurmountable without our premiere perimeter defender Iman fallen to injury and the intellectually bankrupt Woodson orchestrating our band of misfits.
Nonetheless it is all for the best, as our true weaknesses have been exposed for management to try and resolve so that we can develop a championship caliber squad befitting of our god Lin to lead us to the promised land.

I miss the whole D'Antoni-Linsanity experience.
Melo ball has me feeling blue.

I love Lin, but I don't want him to return in this series. I don't want to see the kid get hurt like Rose did.
The New York Knicks are down 3-0 in their series with the Miami Heat and have struggled to defend LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. With the roll that duo is on, there is no way the Knicks can take four in a row. Giving up is out of the question, but giving up Jeremy Lin to the whim of the injury gods can't happen either. It can't happen.

I am selfish, I do want to see him return and rejuvenate our team, push this thing to Game 7.
But there's part of me that's very concerned he could aggravate the injury... damn

Would be a great story no doubt, but the odds of us pulling through at this stage are slim to none. JLin is too important a figure in the future of this franchise to risk him in futility. I'd love to see him back on court but caution, and common sense, should win out here.

Howard Beck ‏ @HowardBeckNYT
Summing up Woodson conf call: Bibby will start. Douglas might play. Jeremy Lin sounding very unlikely. Could use a lot of Melo/JR at point
Jared Zwerling ‏ @JaredZwerling
Woodson on Lin's return in Game 5: "Not counting on it. ... He's not in great shape." #Knicks
Ian Begley ‏ @IanBegley
Mike Bibby will start at PG. Toney Douglas could see minutes. Woodson is open to using Carmelo or J.R. Smith at point guard.
